Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence.  Isaiah 64.1

With Adam’s fall, the Lord’s plan for mankind was paralyzed, therefore God created the institute of salvation, in which his own Son came to save us from eternal punishment, paying a price that only he could afford to pay. Human race had to be prepared for this day and the events had to be timed so that no interruptions would happen, nor such events would be delayed.

What would be of us if Noah had not been a preacher of righteousness, and instead had been contaminated by corruption in his days? To the human eye, what Noah announced was madness, but not to God. For 120 years, Noah said to people that the world would be flooded and everyone who did not board the ark would be killed. However, people mocked at Noah, even though he was completely right (Matthew 24.37-39).

The participation of Abraham in the redemption plan was also of the utmost importance, because he pleaded with the Lord for Sarah to conceive, and, despite her advanced age, she gave birth to Isaac. However, although everything was already prepared, Abraham gave ear to his wife and had a son with Hagar, his wife’s servant (see Genesis 16). But God did not give up on us. How awesome!

The Lord protected Abraham in Egypt, in the house of Abimelech and wherever he went. Later, the Lord heard Isaac’s prayer when he pleaded with God for Rebekah to conceive, and God blessed him with two sons. Since the firstborn was Esau, still in his mother’s womb, Esau pushed his brother Jacob and was born first, but under the Lord’s guidance, the youngest grabbed his brother’s heel, as if he were saying that he would replace him one day as the firstborn (see Genesis 25).

Another example is Judah’s struggle when his son joined the devil so that the Savior wouldn’t be born as he should. God had to kill him and his youngest brother also joined the devil’s plan by throwing his seed in the soil, and again the story repeated itself, and the Lord killed him. The enemy fought with all his strength to prevent God’s plans from succeeding. Judah’s daughter-in-law had to pretend to be a prostitute in order for the plan of redemption to come through (see Genesis 38).

What seemed to be taking too long was about to come to pass. Isaiah, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out to the Redeemer to open the heavens and come down, as described in the verse we are studying. This promise was fulfilled 700 years later, with the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. When Christ was baptized in water, the heavens opened up and the Holy Spirit came down as a pigeon upon Jesus, and the Father spoke from heavens, introducing him as his beloved Son (Matthew 3.16-17). Almost everything was ready.

Now it is time for the mountains to shake before God’s presence. Although God’s plan has not been completed yet, events indicate that the day will come when the saved people will show that God has already redeemed all. The world is being prepared for a moment of great explosion of the Almighty’s power.

In Christ, with love,

Lord who opens the heavens, among the multitude of people that have stood out in various fields of human sciences only one has opened the doors of heaven to us and since then they have not been closed. Now, in the name of the Redeemer, we have access to Your throne.

Thank you for those who were faithful to you, making possible the fulfillment of your plan of redemption and making us victorious. May we not waste what has been given to us or hinder the carrying out of your purposes.

It is time for the church to go out and doe your will, bringing the gospel to those who are lost, the message that can truly change their eternal destination. May those who are saved understand that they are part of the same plan of redemption. Thank you for everything. Amen!
