18/02/2016 - THE DECISION THAT PLEASES GOD

So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?” “I will go,” she said.  Genesis 24.58

The Lord expects His children to be willing to follow His instructions. Thus, He teaches them beforehand about the proposals that will be presented to them. God holds a plan for His work; therefore, He does not need ours. He is not resting, allowing us to lead His work in any way or do what we think is best. On the contrary, He has the right direction to give us at all times.

Abraham´s decision in sending his servant to his relatives was inspired by the Most High. Likewise, when He tells you something by the Word, you must soon take all the arrangements for that to be done just like it was told. When you don’t answer the Lord´s orders, most definitely, He is not pleased, for what He planned is superior to what you think.

The person who serves God must be ready to respect and accomplish the divine commission. The leaders are oriented by the Most High to take certain decisions, and those that are under divine orders must say amen and march to fulfill their mission. Those that rebel against God´s commandments become servants of the enemy, helping him with his nefarious work of killing stealing and destroying (John 10:10a).

In the sphere of human or spiritual action, the Lord knows what to do; that is why, when you are oriented to execute an order that seems to be foolish, never say no, for that is necessary for Him to use you and put His power into action. It is good to remember that God respects the human culture, and He does not force anyone to fulfill His will, but if it is not done, the loss will be tremendous.

Certainly many failures and suffering wouldn’t happen, if those who serve the Lord were willing to obey Him. But, because they were “stubborn”, man becomes responsible for the losses that will torment them through eternity. Those who submit themselves to the orientations from Heaven will treasure blessings that will be enjoyed here and in eternal life as well.

When you receive an orientation from someone who is truly used by God, even if it seems impossible or difficult to fulfill, put yourself ready to fulfill it. The Most High promised that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. So, stay alert to what will be given to you; thus, you will not have any doubts if that is God´s will or not. So, when you conclude that it comes from Him, say yes.

The Lord acts on both ends; this way, respect His orders and do what was told you. Rebekah felt that those words were coming from God, and when she was asked about her decision, she did not hesitate to say yes. But, if it were a trick, she certainly would have discovered it and refused to go.

In Christ, with love,

God of the impossible! How can we not obey what You command us, if that is what we want to do at all times for Your glory? We need to know Your plans, so that we don’t disrupt Your work.

For the relatives of Rebekah, her decision showed that that was a work of God, and not of man. May the same conviction always come over those who have to consent with the departure of a son or daughter to fulfill Your plan.

Teach us to be sensible to Your touch, obedient to Your commands and may we cooperate with You in all that You wish to do with our participation. May this reader learn to walk by faith, and not by sight. Thank You for loving us.
