18/05/2018 - THE DECISION THAT SECURED VICTORY

Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the LORD your God be with you, as He was with Moses. Joshua 1:17

After forty years of needless journey through the desert, because they did not believe in the Lord, the Hebrew people were ready to cross the Jordan and to enter the Promised Land. They understood the gravity of the mission that God would carry out through them, and the fathers and mothers of the families acted correctly, trusting in what the Almighty had determined.  When will the people of God stop wandering around and not believe in Him?

The decision to trust in the new leader established by the Almighty was well taken to secure the conquest of Jericho.  Apparently, there were no conditions to overtake that city, due to its highest walls, and well-armed warriors and peoples.  However, the servants of the Lord dared no longer to doubt whom God had elected, for they remembered the four decades they wandered through the desert, when they questioned Moses. After extensive and intensives “seminary” they learned how to place their trust in Who only says the truth.

This lesson has to be learned by all those who want to live in Heaven.  If the Hebrews had not listened to the Spirit of God, they would not have been commanded by Him and would not enter into the Promised Land.  The Lord will never fall short on what He promised.  What God reveals to you is yours.  Never accept that His word for you is not fulfilled in your life.

Those who rise up against true wisdom, even though they remain among us, are strange sons, and due to their very wrong attitude, will lose the battles that they have to undertake. Each one is responsible for his success or his failure. To wander or stray from the flock of the Lord causes frustration and defeat; so it does one well to keep vigil and pray!

It is necessary to bless those that God calls to lead His work, because one of the methods of the devil in destroying the holy people is to annihilate its leader, leading the congregation to stray from the Almighty.  Praying for the leadership will help keep them on the straight and narrow path.  Those who stray from the Almighty are seeking their own interests.  The wise decision of that day made the Hebrew people lay hold of Canaan.

The Lord knows why he chooses His leaders, placing them upfront at all levels – from those responsible for the missions of the church all the way to the top.  When somebody cries their independence, he rebels against wisdom and will never remain on his feet again. He will suffer the worst moments, marching giant steps towards destruction, unless he repents with all his heart.

All divided kingdoms will fall, and in the end, the Day of Judgment will come.  What will the rebel say concerning the defeats that the Church suffered because of him? Would it not have been better to follow the example of the Israelites on that day? They knew how terrible it was to disobey the Lord.  Their good attitude allowed them and their sons and daughters to be successful.

In Christ, with love,

Father of mercy and forgiveness! Help those who are led to be deceived by the evil one and are voices of dissent in Your direction. Don’t allow that they harm the progress of Your Church and have to be answerable for the damage and loss.

Look at those who are influenced by compliments and sensuality, as well as for those who do not carry out Your work in a manner that pleases You. On Judgment Day they will not have what to say.  Certainly many are innocent, but cause great harm to Your congregation.

We ask for mercy and awakening, because as a group that is united and bonded to You, we will overcome the enemy and destroy his projects.  To be in Christ is most important to us, so that we can do what is good and worthy. Halleluiah!
