So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20

They did not have to wait any longer, for they had already received the Lord’s direction. So, in the morning they stood up to face the enemy. When we hear the voice of God by reading the Word, we have the confirmation that He is ahead of us; we just have to go where He has commanded us. As we fulfill our duty, we will see that the Father will do what He has promised us.

King Jehoshaphat stood up and told his soldiers how they should proceed, for God would not forsake them. This is how every head of household or leader of a church must act. Having understood the divine message, to delay means to fear the Lord or disrespect Him. Those who believe advance, raises their fist and does the work in the way they felt they should proceed according to the Word. Victory is certain for those who do not doubt!

Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem should heed the instructions, to not contradict the Most High. If they believed, they would be protected. This is the maxim that will always give us security, because there is no way God commands us to fulfill His plan in the wrong way. In the Heavenly guidelines, there is no hesitation or deception. The Lord is perfect in all things!

If they believed in their prophets, those inhabitants would prosper. The same order is given to us today. Even though some messengers of God have written the message of Heaven more than three thousand years ago, He is extremely up to date. The words given by the Lord are spirit and life, and not just a way of communication like ours. Therefore, never be ashamed or fail to do what the Father said, for He is faithful to keep His promises.

Jehoshaphat knew that the Almighty would use them to defeat the rebels. The Most High had prepared a spectacle of His ability. Thus, the operation that was to come was something unheard of. Undoubtedly, in each of our battles, the Almighty reveals a little of His power for us to have victory and know that He will never confuse us.

Judah was totally safe. Believing in God, His protection would not fail. The secret was to see the Lord unfold His purpose, which would astonish the opponents. In His operation, there would be no possibility of any of those who rebelled against them for an upcoming battle. In their spiritual stupidity, the Ammonites, Moabites, and those of Mount Seir had no idea that they were digging their own grave that day.

Whoever heeds the direction of God and follows it, is never in difficulty with the enemy’s abilities. In the face of the power of the Most High, that which the adversaries know how to do is nothing, but to fight against themselves. The saved will never be ashamed, but the wicked will.
