05/02/2017 - THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CHILDREN OF GOD AND THOSE OF THE DEVIL

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 1 John 3.10

The love that the children of God show through their works distinguishes them from those of the devil.  It doesn’t matter how much a person prospers or is successful in any activity on account of his faith.  The proof that he or she is Christian is in the love expressed for the other members of the Body of Christ, mainly for those that are slaves to the enemy.

This love is revealed in the positive deeds offered not only in the form of material help for those who are in need of resources but also in prayer and consecration which generally no one sees.  The greatest good we can practice and give to someone is done in our rooms with closed doors, when we talk to God in secret, we declare blessings and deliver the captives free.  On seeing our obedience, the Lord rewards us.

Countless persons are subjected to the powers of darkness, shackled to every type of infernal schemes. They need effective help from the part of the saved, for if they do not hear the Gospel, they will die in their sins.  If this happens they will never experience the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.  Definitely there is nothing more important for a Christian to do than to offer the opportunity of salvation to the lost. 

Be careful not to trade divine filiation for a diabolic one.  If you do not do something for who is far from the Word, you will be classified as a child of the devil which is very grave indeed.  As a child of God, besides Heaven, which awaits you, you become heir to Him, a minister of the New Testament and a steward of the house of the Lord.  However if you do not obey the divine commandments, God’s ears will also close to you.

Offerings are necessary so that the message of salvation reach areas where for millennia darkness has blocked the light from being revealed. Even without publicizing what is done in many places, even for reasons of security of those who represent us there, no doubt the Holy Spirit touches the hearts of many to contribute.  Nevertheless many ignore this divine direction and then later keep asking why God doesn’t talk to them.

Those who do not practice the authority entrusted to them in favor of the distressed nor love righteousness and those that are not born again are not children of God.  So invest your efforts in keeping your salvation.  See the example in the parable of the rich and of Lazarus.  The rich man was deeply religious, he knew and called Abraham as Father and the patriarch did not say that he lied.  However as he did nothing for Lazarus the rich was sent to eternal perdition (Luke 16:20-25).

Help the missions and use the faith to deliver the slaves from the devil.  Take your position in Christ, even having no title in the church, and be useful in God’s hands.  The treasurer of the Queen of Candace, who was evangelized by Phillip (Acts 8:26-29), took the Gospel to Ethiopia.  When Livingstone arrived there in the 19th century he found existing churches remaining from the Christian culture.
