O Lord, by these things men live; and in all these things is the life of my spirit; so You will restore me and make me live. Isaiah 38.16

Hezekiah, the King of Judah, feared God, and he received a message from the Lord through prophet Isaiah that he would die. Since he knew how to plead his case before the Most High, he managed to end his days in peace. It is important to understand everything that the Father tells us through His Word. What He tells us is like a remedy that heals our weaknesses, cleansing us from our mistakes, and bringing us to His presence.

The summary of the king’s prayer shows that he poured out his soul before the Lord. Thus, what harmed him was taken away from him. Those who see their days coming to an end and have many unsolvable problems – or have received a message from the Heavens that they would not be healed or freed, and that their time is ending – must make the same prayer of faith, which is the only one that prevails in every situation.

In verse 14 of the same chapter, Hezekiah said that he chattered like a swallow and mourned like a dove. His eyes failed from looking upward, showing the Most High that he was oppressed and that the Lord should be his Guarantor. This type of clamor does not bring healing, but helps to prepare the soul to understand what should be repaired. The truth is that a curse without a cause shall not alight (Pv 26.2).

When the prayer of faith is made, there will be no way how God will not answer it. However, in order to get to this point, it is important to open ourselves to the Lord. Undoubtedly, there are many evil things in us that allow the attacks of the enemy. Yet when we are open to listen to the divine voice, we are able to hear His instructions. It is a law that never changes: He who covers his sins will not prosper (Pv 28.13).

In his clamor, the king understood what he did wrong and wept a lot. It is common for people not to admit their mistakes. It is incredible how we lie because of pride. However, he who has the Spirit of God is not deceived. If He noticed something and warned you, do not slip so you will not be surprised. It is better to speak the truth and ask: pray for me. When you let the Lord convince you, you pour out yourself in His presence.

Hezekiah’s prayer changed. After the phase of repentance, he saw that he was freed of that evil death and exclaimed: as He promised so He has done it (Is 38.15). For those who get things right with the Lord, the promises are always fulfilled. But if you hide something from someone or from God, you will not obtain an answer from the Most High. Your decision will or will not bring the power of God to attend you. Lazarus was only resurrected when the stone was taken away.

Hezekiah managed to speak by faith, declaring that he would spend all of his years in peace. There are solutions for all problems, if you let yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit. Know that sin is always the reason for us not to be answered.

In Christ, with love,

Most High Lord! Hezekiah almost lost the battle for not being firm in the faith. However, he prayed in the right way, opening his heart, and then he managed to listen to Your voice and see that the problem was inside of him. When he got things right with You, You were able to heal him.

There are many people in similar situations, for their difficulties are not solved, even though they pray all the time. Help them, oh Father, to understand that wherever there is sin, You cannot act in their favor. May they get things right with You, for then You will make wonders in their lives!

After the storm had passed, king Hezekiah worshiped You with a song. The same will happen with the person that is praying right now. This person needs Your help. Then, he will praise You as well. May Your Spirit assist him right now!
