26/10/2017 - THE EGYPTIANS FEARED GOD

The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. “For otherwise,” they said, “we will all die! Exodus 12:33

If we are called to do the work of God and it seems difficult or impossible to be carried out, then we must pray for guidance and follow them. Then, the outcome will be great. This is exactly what happened to Moses when he was called to bring the Israelites out of Egypt. This servant of God did not teach God what to do, but he learned from Him, and the result was better than one could have with the help of any army or person.

It was more than one year of conversations with Pharaoh and plagues being sent, so that the king would come to the conclusion that he should let the Hebrews go. The children of Jacob did nothing to deserve becoming slaves in the land that Joseph, one of their brothers, helped be preserved during the seven years of famine. If it wasn’t for his fear, the Egyptians, as well as his family, would not have been kept safe during the period of famine.

Upon seeing that all the families, with no exception, had lost their firstborn son, Pharaoh´s own subjects hastened to cast the Hebrews out of the land. They could no longer stand Pharaoh´s passiveness; therefore, as if it were a civil disobedience, they began helping the people of God to leave their territory. If Pharaoh continued being stubborn, they feared that the Almighty would kill them.

As they walked out towards freedom, the Hebrews discovered that because they had eaten the flesh of the lamb – symbolizing the Lamb of God -, there was no invalid or sick among them. What a discovery! Those that are saved must be taught that this fact typifies what Jesus did for us upon His death and, then, begin a fierce and relentless struggle against the infernal powers that keep them sick. After all, they have already been healed by the wounds of Christ. Amen?

The final battle had not yet come, but only later would they hear about it. It would be personally done by the Man of War, when all of Pharaoh´s army, along with him, would die in the Red Sea. The pride of the king and his army would be reduced to nothing in the work performed by the true God. The one who claimed to be the son of Ra, the supreme god in the Egyptian pantheon, was just like this “divinity”: he was defeated.

No servant of the Most High must be afraid to go to the very limit because with God guiding them, they will never be ashamed, no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling. The Most High knows how to do His work like no one else could ever come close or approach His perfection. You were called to participate in a unique work, planned by the Creator. He prepared you to be used by Him!

In the end, on the other side of the Red Sea, already free from the enemies, Miriam, Moses’ sister who took care of him when he was placed in the basket on the Nile River, took a tambourine and all the women went out after her with their instruments and they danced and sang to the Lord. It must have been beautiful to see them praising God. Halleluiah!

In Christ, with love,

Faithful Lord! What a wonderful scenario it was to see Your servants following Miriam with her tambourines, dancing and singing for You exalted Yourself and You have thrown both horse and its rider into the sea. It was a day of thanksgiving!

It will be so beautiful when Jesus comes back and takes us to the eternal Home, where we will never see evil nor be afflicted by temptations. I don’t know what else we will do besides giving You the true praise. May this day not take long, for, it will certainly be marvelous!

Our eyes will no longer weep due to pain or sadness, but out of gratitude and happiness, for the one that disturbed us will no longer be there. Then, we will live forever next to our Beloved Savior. May You be praised forever!
