04/01/2013 - The enemy’s treachery on men

For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, like those who have long been dead. Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is distressed.

Psalm 143: 3, 4

When one’s soul is frustrated one’s spirit becomes distressed, and one feels like not willing to move on. Such person is undoubtedly being oppressed by evil powers. They themselves might be blamed for it or their pastor rather who, instead of preaching The Word of God, fills his or her sheep with vain words (Ephesians 5: 6). Only those who feed on The Bread of God manage to achieve strength to fight against the enemy’s assaults. Without The True Food men become powerless before evil.

The devil wants to possess a man’s soul and to achieve it he’s capable of offering whatever it takes; yet, since he’s a liar, he’ll never fulfil his promises. Nobody should give credit to the one who’s altogether evil. Jesus said that the enemy has never set foot on any stable ground nor shall he stand firm in The Truth either (John 8: 44). Everything that comes out of the tempter’s mouth is nothing but lies and that’s the reason why nobody should give him any credit.

Just like it’s recorded in the text of the book of Psalms those who give him room will have their lives crushed to the ground. Yet, many people don’t realise that moral falls, weakened health, a broken marriage, financial issues are by themselves sheer evidence that the devil is dominating their lives. We, real Christians, must go up to them and speak firmly by telling them the truth without dithering and show them what’s waiting for them at the corner if they won’t turn back to The Lord. He who is a son of God will recognise his error and then turn to repentance.

Those who fall for our adversary’s lies become forgotten by their friends and mates, forsaken by their family and relatives and all that’s left is nothing but resentment, hurts and hatred. The devil is an all-time liar; for him the more chaotic one’s situation might be the better it is for his intentions. He makes people believe in the impossible so they’ll fabricate a quite evil and completely illusionary scenario which will ultimately lead them into madness. We need to stop, turn to The Lord and stop putting our trust in the tempter.

If your spirit is in distress, if you lack strength and courage to be on your knees and say a prayer or if you feel discouraged to turn to God to be delivered from all sorts of temptations you must be careful because destruction might be nearer than you can imagine. The strength of the servants of The Most High is renewed each day. They deny themselves and they take upon themselves their cross – meaning their mission – and they follow Jesus with determination (Matthew 10: 38). If you’ve been losing any battle you must turn back to The Lord as soon as possible before you lose the war!

A desolate heart is sheer evidence that communion with our Father hasn’t been developed.  We cannot understand a Christian who is used to being apart from other people, and as they’re filled up with all sorts of resentment they dodge people. We have to daily fill our souls with the anointing of The Holy Spirit and head forward for the prize of the sovereign vocation of God (Philippians 3: 14).

A Christian must be well-spirited, they must live a happy life, full of dreams; they must be determined to get to always know what the will of God for their life is and bounce back. Do not accept a meagre life – a lower living standard! God has planned a much better one for you. You have a right to eat the best delicacies of this earth (Isaiah 1: 19). Do take possession of your right and live as a real son of God!

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
