24/06/2018 - THE ERROR OF FEARING THE ENEMY

He will pass through Judah, He will overflow and pass over, He will reach up to the neck; And the stretching out of his wings Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.  Isaiah 8:8

The Kingdom of Samaria, contaminated by idolatry and the reigning practice of witchcraft in the Land of the Promise, applauded Pekah their king’s decision to join forces with Rezin, King of Syria (Isaiah 7:1).  Because they did not observe the Word, the people were swayed by the boasting and bragging of the Syrian monarch.  The alliance was drawn up to take over Judah, and split its territory.  The Almighty heard this, but Ahaz, King of Judah, who had strayed from the paths of God, rejected the divine offer and sought help from the Kings of Assyria (2 Chronicles 28:16)

With the Lord, there is safety, prosperity and peace.  However, when one turns their back to Him, certainly the worst madness comes to be.  Why exchange the fountains of living waters for broken cisterns, which hold no water (Jeremiah 2:13)? Why turn the mastery of your life to the enemy?  It is truly better to bow before the One who is loving and Almighty and who has made a number of promises.  It is time to reflect, meditate and consider!  See what your attitudes have caused you.  God is forgiving (Psalm 86:5) !

The decree was already signed.  Assyria would destroy not only Syria, the constant enemy of the people of the Lord, as well as the kingdom of the North.  What price was paid for a bad decision!  Who could have made the descendants of Jacob turn to idols to seek any good, if in them there exists only evil? Identical facts occur in our days.  There are sons of God in abominable practices, with the permission of parents who knew the Lord.  The cost will be charged!

The Most High allowed that Assyria advance over the Kingdom of Syria and Samaria.  However, He warned that Judah would also suffer for having neglected the waters of Shiloah that run gently, but have the power to preserve and secure victory (Isaiah 8:6).  Now there would come the waters of the Euphrates, strong and mighty, to flood the land of the house of David (Isaiah 8:7).  This came about in the days of Hezekiah, son of Ahaz, and that kingdom was only not destroyed because the ruler feared God.  He and Isaiah prayed.

The work of destruction that the Assyrians committed in those two nations was enormous.  The first to suffer the defeat at Tiglath-Pileser was the boastful Rezin, a mystic and worshipper of the devil.  Rebellious Samaria took a few more years; however, in the days of Salamanezer, the new Assyrian king, it was the arrival of its desolation.  Hoshea was the king then, and his people were taken captive and spread out through many territories and never returned home. (2 Kings 17:6)  Mercy!

Do not disrespect what is spiritual, provoking in this way the wrath of the Lord, for when the devil requests payment for the acts of filth practiced with his help, the price will be high.  Those who accede to receive help from Hell will from then on serve Satan.  If they do not repent they will be led like sheep to the slaughter house and will never be restored.  Surrender to the Spirit of God and know how He is good.

Accepting the divine will you will never receive unwanted news from the part of the Lord.  If something bad is happening to you talk to God and follow His commands.  The Holy Spirit will remind you of what was said and in the Name of Jesus you will see the enemy’s attack pushed back.  Your attitude with the Word of God will lift you up.  Don’t ever commit the error of fearing the enemy!

In Christ, with Love,

Father! Why would somebody decide to anger You, when they should be by Your side renewing their vows and obeying Your commands? Even so, many see nothing wrong in siding with the devil who will certainly destroy them.  Mercy!

Fools are those that do everything to shame Your Name!  How can any man rise up against You?  Rezin, the King of Syria, did not love You, and saw an opportunity to reach Your inheritance.  He sought his own destruction!

Those who do not understand that You will always defend Your people are used  by the devil.  For this reason Pekah handed Samaria over to the Assyrians.  Ahaz did not want to serve You, and received for this the sentence he did not expect, and Judah was not destroyed because Hezekiah and Isaiah prayed.  Thank You!
