But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. Acts 19:9

Great is the loss for those who hear but do not listen to the Word of God, because they are left without divine help.  Alas, the enemy is always waiting expectantly for us to falter to apply his deadly attacks.  When he sees our neglect or disdain for God’s matters, he knows he has an open door to enter and do as he pleases: to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10a).  Often is the case when, the evil introduced in a person appears visibly after many years.  Don’t let it happen to you!

Jacob’s descendants, who were dwellers in Ephesus, lost their greatest opportunity of all times.  As their hearts hardened with regard to what the Lord told them through Paul, they acted like their ancestors in the desert, when they refused to be led by Moses.  They could have avoided 40 years of wandering in the desert if they had listened to the Creator and entered to lay hold of the land that had been promised to Abraham and to his seed.  Lack of Faith!

Acting like your ancestors, disobeying the Most High, you accumulate anger that will later come upon you and your family.  Don’t neglect the Lord’s commands, because everything that He does or says is for your good.  No evil will ever come from God.  However, if you neglect Him, the devil will take advantage of your lack of protection and will enter your life to destroy it.  Honor the Lord and avoid great harm and loss!

These same men scorned of the Way that would lead them to Heaven and they angered and tested God’s patience.  Why sadden the Lord, if He only wants to do you good?  He loves your prosperity and peace and is ready to avenge all evil that was practiced against your life by the devil.  In the Most High, there is more than you need and this will give you victory in all of your battles.  Love the Lord!

That day, Paul left them.  When Moses took the people of Israel from Egypt, the divine power that guarded and protected that nation went with them.  Wherever you find a faithful son of God, the works of the enemy are hindered and limited.  Never leave your home open and unprotected. The enemy cannot succeed in his plan against you and yours.  When you are going through some spiritual battle pray to the Lord in faith!

The apostle did not take lightly such meanness of heart from his brothers, sons of Israel and sent the disciples away from them.  As a result, the protection of the Jews at Ephesus came to an end and no matter how hard they prayed and pleaded  they were no longer under the wings of the Omnipotent but under the oppression of the enemy. The foolish decision to not surrender to divine majesty opens gaps that give the evil´s power permission to enter these lives.

Paul continued to stay at Ephesus, teaching at the school of a certain Tyrannus.  The work of the apostle was so extraordinarily evident that people came from everywhere to be blessed as they received his prayer.  Those who refused God’s intercession remained without His help.
