Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before Your face.

Psalm 89.14

He who is saved has received the greatest privilege one can have: to be part of the family of God. As a result, he receives rights and obligations. Jesus said that the members of his body (the church) are the salt of the earth and the light to the world (Matthew 5.13-14). The Bible also says those who are saved become the righteousness of God (2Corinthians 5.21). It is difficult to understand how someone who has experienced the love of God can give up everything to live a life of sin.

God did not save us by chance. Jesus paid a high price for our salvation. He gave his own life for us to be redeemed from the kingdom of darkness. The least we can do to show our gratitude is to keep away from any type of sin. When we do that, we prove to the Lord that we are happy at our salvation.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. This is why all those who are saved must resist to temptation and not fall into sin; if this happens, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross will have been in vain. Justice means that the Lord judges us in accordance with his Word. Those who are saved must think twice before giving in to temptation, because God will not change his attitude.

It is good to know that the face of the Lord is turned to us all the time. If we seek his guidance, he will show us the solution for our problems, deliver us from temptation and give us a blessing. When the Lord is looking at us, we are protected. He will never turn his face from those who belong to him and honor him.

We cannot live in righteousness on our own, but God guides us through his path and prevents us from stumbling, because mercy and truth go before his face. Those who obey his Word find favor in him. But when we insist on error, God’s mercy does not reach us, because mercy and truth act together.

We have been saved from the dominion of the evil one. Those who resist to temptation will never be confused. But those who are not careful about their conduct will see that the promises of the Lord will not be fulfilled in their lives. That is why we must watch and pray (Matthew 26.41). Nevertheless, if it is too late and you have already fallen, you can repent and confess your sins before the Lord.

When you were accepted into God’s family, you were made a new creature and the old things passed (2Corinthians 5.17). Now your record is clean. Therefore, you can enter the presence of the Lord without feeling unworthy and ordain your blessing in the name of Jesus. So remain steadfast and faithful, and your prayers will be answered by God.

In Christ, with love,
