Behold, God is exalted by His power; who teaches like Him? Job 36.22

Many things are beyond our understanding. One question commonly asked is: why didn’t the Lord take us to Heaven when he saved us? A lot of people ask that question, but for those who have had a personal experience with God, there is no reason for lamenting our stay here in this world. After all, the Lord declared that a thousand may fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand, but it shall not come near us (Psalm 91.7). Believe that Christ is the Teacher who knows how to teach those who belong to him (Job 13.13).

While we are here, we will have problems with the evil one, who is relentless in trying to remove us from our position in Christ and defeat us. But we must not fear him, since he cannot touch us (1John 5.18). Unless we, Christians, stray from the Lord’s protection, the enemy cannot do us any harm. Our attitude must always be one of walking with our heads up, watching, but at the same time trusting in our Father (1Peter 5.8).

Sometimes it seems that God is not paying attention to what is happening to us. But that is not true. He knows all plans of the devil against our lives and also each and every temptation we face (1John 4.4). The Almighty God comes to our rescue during these trials, and he will never allow temptation to come upon us except such as is common to man. Additionally, he will also provide us with an escape, that we may be able to bear our temptations (1Corinthians 10.13).

God is exalted and he lifts us up by His power. Therefore, we must not fear the lies or traps of the evil one. The truth is that the Lord is an indestructible and impenetrable shield. By abiding in the Almighty God, he and we make an invincible team (John 15.7). The secret is to cling to the Lord’s promises and soon you will see that the spiritual storm has passed.

The Most High has a purpose when he allows us to be tempted. He uses trials as a way of teaching us the right way to behave during our battles. He has many blessing in store for us, and if we do not grow in faith, we will not be able to take possession of them. The best thing to do is to allow him to teach us, to be taught by the Greatest Teacher. Then you will not know defeat.

God’s teachings are perfect. He knows how much we can bear. So he helps us with his power, exalting us over our enemies (Psalm 23.5). Even if you are sure that all forces of Hell have joined to destroy you, remember that the Lord promised to raise your flag and fight on your behalf. If God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8.31)?

If you feel that you are under attack from forces of Hell, do not be dismayed! Even though you are going through a process of learning, you are still able to rebuke evil. What is important is that you remain connected with the Word of God, because it is through his Word that you will find out what to do.

In Christ, with love,

Oh God, our faith in Jesus, which you have given us through acceptance of your Word, tells us that you will never leave us during our battle against evil forces. They insist on attacking us and have as their ultimate goal to remove us from your presence. They will never succeed, though.

It is good for us to be always in fellowship with you, enjoying your love and protection. At some point, you will exalt us by your power, so everyone will see that we are more than conquerors. Your decree concerning us cannot be annulled. We have been truly freed.

In the end, we will recognize that you are the Greatest Teacher. So everyone will say that there is no one who teaches like you, Father. That is why we come before you to thank you for all that you have done. Lord, we can take possession of what we have in Christ!
