01/03/2017 - THE IMPORTANCE OF A TRUE DESCRIPTION

And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire. Nehemiah 1.3

Nehemiah’s brother and friends were crucial to the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem and the uplift of the nation of Israel. They probably had no idea that God was using them; however, since they decided to speak the truth, they did what they were told. It doesn’t matter how much the Lord will use you; the important thing is that it is meant to fulfill His eternal plan. Then, in the consummation of times, you will realize that He loved you tremendously.

No one could have imagined that a simple cupbearer of the king would be used in a work of such magnitude. Those who listen to the Lord should never allow doubts or any other lies of the enemy to invade their heart and dictate their decisions. There should be no doubt that the Most High’s plans for each person are of the highest and noblest level. Therefore, be careful not to lose what you are destined to do.

If those men had been polite and not spoken about the real situation of the city of the king, or even lied about everything that happened there, by affirming that everything was fine, Nehemiah would never have felt the level of humiliation his land went through, thus, he would not have sought divine guidance. How many blessings have the oppressed people lost because of some who do not have the courage to tell the truth with an evil purpose.

We should never speak about ourselves and how we feel, but we should speak about what our Lord gives us to answer or say to those who ask us for explanations. His vision about what happens around us is the truth, because He sees through the “make up” that are used by many people for pure demonic inspiration. After all, the heavenly Father did not declare for any reason or irresponsibly that those who speak the truth manifest justice (Proverbs 12:17).

We should see unpleasant situations as an open door to speak of our faith and of what God can do. Remember that you were anointed and prepared by the Lord to accomplish a mission that only He knows the reason of it. Even if it seems simple or meaningless before your eyes, later on, or in the consummation of the century, you will learn that what happened to you was very important in favor of your spiritual growth.

The description they did was the beginning of a work that was going to have moments of great tribulations, because, by showing sadness before the king, the cupbearer could have been condemned to a sentence, lose his job or even his own life. Don’t be bothered by what God allows you to go through, because He knows everything and will never stop listening to you and giving you protection at all times. Always believe that the Lord is good and a faithful fulfiller of His promises.

Just like Jerusalem was in those days, all the Christians and non-Christians of today are just the same. In the world, there is no peace, enduring success nor solutions to men’s problems; however, in God, there is power to end all suffering and bring days of peace and prosperity.

In Christ, with love

Our God who is wise and a true leader! Your plan began to work when Nehemiah’s brother visited him. During the time when he described the chaos in Jerusalem, Your hand was in control of the situation.

What your servant felt, even though he was the cupbearer of the king, came from You so that he could pray about it. After all, You had already determined that he was going to be the man who was going to be used to rebuild the wall and redirect Your people to their homes.

May we learn to listen to You and never discriminate anyone that occupies a simple position in anyplace. If You have called them to do something in the Gospel, it will happen. Thank You for guiding us.
