Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.  Psalm 119.88

The Lord’s meekness, tenderness, kind hope or hopeful kindness, and the art of doing good have the power to revive us. God has ordered us all to believe in the Gospel, because this is the way that allows us to get closer to the Father. We have conditions to free ourselves from the evil one through Him, for He is the power of God (Rm 1.16). If you do not learn what your rights in Christ are, you will never be successful in the faith. In spiritual warfare, those who believe in Jesus are victorious.

In the parable of the prodigal son, the Master depicted God as a Father that is anxiously waiting for His son’s return. Away from Him, in midst of the lost, the son is destroyed by the devil. Undoubtedly, the Lord’s heart becomes heavy when someone walks towards the large door, where he will meet the enemy in his maximum capacity as a deceiver. Afterwards, even though he might want to return, he will not be able to be set free by himself.

Whenever you feel your soul captive to sins and you notice that you are getting distant from the Father, ask for your revival, which is a very important work, for it will bring your life back. This happens when we accept Jesus as our Savior, and therefore, we experience rebirth. Then, everything is made new. However, unfortunately, as days come and go, many become cold in the faith and fall in sin, needing to be revived again.

The request of the psalmist shows that there is no other way of having your soul revived. He knew that his need could be attended because of the divine art of doing good. He invoked God’s lovingkindness and by His order, he wrote the way that should be walked in order to be freed from a negative feeling. It does not matter if you have done something that has greatly hurt the Lord; it is impossible for Him not to attend you.

This verse shows that there is no way how to keep the testimony from God’s mouth if the soul is not revived. This is extremely dangerous. Whoever does not take hold of the Most High’s words makes His declarations become a lie. The Lord affirms that the blood of His Son has cleansed us from sin, that we have been healed by His wounds, and that He will supply all our needs in glory, by Jesus Christ (Phi 4.19). Let God be true in your life!

Do not be dominated by anguish, depression, sadness or any other feeling that destroys your hope and robs you the desire of living. If you stop doing what is good you will be led towards spiritual death. The request of the psalmist is a reminder that the Lord is ready to make a great change in your life. The fact that God is kind towards man is so that they may keep the testimony that He gives of Himself and His justice. This works right now!

What about standing up to enjoy the abundant life brought by Jesus? It is not proper to forget the Master’s mission here on Earth. After all, God wants to see you serving Him fully. He shows that He will go to the limit so that you may have everything that He has declared that He did for humanity, because the testimony of His mouth cannot be annulled.

In Christ, with love,

Lord, You confirm Your own Testimony! How much love have You demonstrated for what You say in everyone’s favor. Thank You for revealing us the value of Your lovingkindness, for through it, we can understand the limit of Your patience and love, and we can seek Your help.

We will be revived if we do not forget that Your lovingkindness will make us always be attended. Now, this is very good and useful, for we will remain steadfast until You bless us completely.

After this moment, may my readers not be discouraged or cease to believe in what You can do in their favor, for Your goodness will never cease to exist and operate. It is Your essence, and therefore, the testimonies of Your mouth shall be confirmed.
