02/09/2015 - THE IMPORTANCE OF OFFERING

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 2 Corinthians 9:12

The service of offering is a great blessing granted by our God. Without a doubt, He could reveal us where He put the gold and other precious metals; then, we would buy land, or the rights to explore it, and the needs of the work of God would be supplied. However, the wisdom of God did not see this as something good for us. The laws established by Him are the best for His children, and so, we must praise Him.

He who does not serve the Most High cannot understand His Word, and because of this the person rebels when the opportunity to prove that he loves Him arises. Now, to give offerings is like showing our love for Him and allowing Him to prove His love for us. On the other hand, to play deaf or unaware when God touches your heart to offer, the person is not practicing one of the more rewarding acts here and in eternity.

The woman of Zarephath had all reasons to reject Elijah´s orders when he told her to use the rest of the flour and a little bit of oil to make him a loaf of bread first (1 Kings 17:11-13); however, she did not disobey. Likewise, be sure to fulfill what someone speaks you in the Name of the Lord, for the Omnipotent will surely fulfill the Word delivered to you. That woman did not die because she dared to believe in what that man of God told her. The miracle is not the end, but it´s the beginning of an endless cycle.

The Lord is Multiplier of that which is given you. The five bread and two fish handed by a young man were transformed into millions of pieces, which fed five thousand hungry men, besides women and children. They ate until they had plenty and 12 baskets full were left over (Matthew 14:15-21). This proves that the Lord´s answers are always abundant, much more than what we need at that moment; therefore, do not waste the leftovers.

The Omnipotent guarantees that the managing of this service supplies the needs of the saints. Then, we can ask: why are there members of the Body of Christ that don’t have their needs met? Now, the answer can be the following: or the head of the congregation does not teach them to offer, or they resist God´s divine voice, which ordains them to give. He who resists the Lord is submitting to the empire of darkness. Always be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

According to Jesus, what we ask in His Name is given to us so that the Father may be glorified (John 14:13). Thus, we can understand that the supplying of our needs will result in many thanks that will be given to the Father. Why don’t you take this seriously, begin to prosper and give many jobs to people, besides doing charity? If this takes place, you will make the Lord be glorified through the mouths of many people.

Think of yourself as the only person put on Earth by the Most High. Without a doubt, His promises and resources would be yours and you would be loved by Him in accordance to your love for Him. My dear reader, this is how you are seen. Open your eyes and be a blessing!

In Christ, with love,

Oh God! We must not forget that You are the one that blesses and You wish to forgive all those that transgress, so that they don’t have any more condemnation over their life. Thus, they will be able to enjoy Your best.

How many times have we lost the chance to sow in Your Kingdom and reap a good reward? We have allowed the demon to steal us the opportunity of doing good to the lost, and thus, we go through all sorts of trials and sufferings.

Today we understand that the service of offerings not only supplies our needs, but it also results in many thanks to You, Lord! May my readers wake up to the fact that You wish to supply their needs as long as they obey You.
