Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not look on the stubbornness of this people, or on their wickedness or their sin.  Deuteronomy 9.27

The Lord wanted to kill the Israelites because they had not obeyed His order to rise and possess the Promised Land. However, Moses knew how to make the prayer of intercession, which prevailed and managed to reach the divine favor and save the people from destruction. This is how we must pray for those who are weak and do not obey the Lord’s commands. The example of Moses must be followed.

Moses prayed remembering God about the Patriarchs that served Him and to whom He made promises. Nowadays, our prayer of intercession must be made in the Name of Jesus, and the Lord will attend our request. Moses used the triple key of obedience. We have the triple key of obedience of the New Covenant, which is complete and always works: the Name of Jesus, the Word of God – Jesus Himself, for He is the living Word – and the Holy Spirit, who is our Comforter.

Our intercession must be constant and incessant against the forces of evil. The Most High has given us the authorization to intercede for the weak and the rebel. We must be direct in what we ask and in the way we intercede. Our prayer must be made with the certainty that when we use the name of Jesus, we will be answered. When we are moved by the Holy Spirit, there is no way we can fail in the work that we were ordered to do.

Those who are moved by the Lord to intercede for someone should not have the smallest doubt that they will be attended. When we feel the divine touch in our hearts, we can enter into battle with the conviction that we will be victorious. Therefore, we should not stop in ten righteous people, as Abraham did (Gn 18.25-32), but we should keep on going even if it is to beg for the sake of one righteous person (Lk 15.10). In fact, there will not be one righteous person by himself. Only those who practice the Lord’s commandments are made righteous by God (Jm 2:24).

As you pray, remember that everyone who practices sin comes from the devil (1 Jo 3.8). This spiritual being is cruel in his destructive work. His mission is to rob, kill, and destroy (Jo 10.10a). However, we should not be afraid of any evil, for all power and authority have been given us over unclean spirits (Mk 16.17). When we speak in the Name of Jesus, the evil one does not withstand the divine fire that follows the order that was given.

As we enter into battle against our enemy, we occupy our place in Christ, and for that reason, we will never be destroyed. The devil may rise before us, but with the Lord in front of us, the tempter cannot resist us, and he will be completely destroyed. While you are obeying the Lord, do not let yourself be led by the lies of the enemy. Face the fight knowing that you will be victorious (Rm 8.31b).

I would like you, my friend, to make the effort to remember how Moses cried out in favor of the Israelites’ and was heard. The way that you pray should be in the Name of Jesus. Then, you will not lose a single battle. Be watchful, however, so that you do not use human or deceitful arguments. The Lord will not be deceived by any lies that we might say. His Word is the Truth (Jo 17.17).

In Christ, with love,

God, Consuming Fire! Now, we know that there must be a good reason for You to attend our prayer. It must be done based on the revelation of Your Word, in a way that it does not stray to the right or to the left. Only in such a way You will go ahead of us.

Once You are ahead of us, we will obtain victory. You are a consuming Fire that does not let any work of the enemy prevail. How we need to know You better, serve You with wholeheartedness, and march firmly to obtain victory over evil!

Many people ignore Your Word, and so they live oppressed by the devourer. If they dedicated themselves to meditate on what You say, they would have a stronger and more constant faith in Your work. Then, they would be spiritually more productive.
