But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Genesis 22.7

First, let me explain that the test faced by Abraham never again nor will it ever come over any other person again. This was an example the Lord wanted to leave about the love of this chosen man in order to begin a private nation for Him, causing God not to deny His own Son. If, one day, you feel something similar, rebuke it right away, for, without a doubt, such desire comes from the enemy. Do not be led by the devil and don’t do anything wrong. 

Through that which took place at mount Moriah, the Lord showed why the patriarch of the Hebrews was called friend of God. Today, to receive this title, you just have to do what He tells you. Now, everything that the Bible tells you is written in the Bible. Abraham proved to the Lord that he would not spare any efforts in order to please Him. If you wish to show your love for Jesus and for your neighbor, speak of what He did for all of us. 

The death of Christ has an enormous meaning to man, for with it human beings were delivered from the devilish captivity. If He had not died in our place, we would still be under the oppression of the evil one, and because of that, we would never become children of God. Because of His blood, shed on Calvary, we became His children, heirs of the Father and co-heirs with Jesus.  

Those who don’t understand what Jesus did in His vicarious sacrifice lose many blessings. Without understanding this singular work, we don’t have any basis to rebuke evil nor get rid of his attacks. However, by being reached by divine grace, we receive forgiveness of our sins and we are acquitted of the guilt that came upon all mankind. Having reached forgiveness, we are delivered from the empire of darkness and of suffering and we are born again. 

Isaac´s question must have broken the heart of the patriarch, but he did not get carried away by his feelings and remained firm in faith. Abraham answered with the truth, when he said: “The Lord will provide”. Keep this with you so that you are never mistaken by any circumstance might indicate there is no way out, because the Most High has already provided the effective medicine against sin´s poison. Therefore, resist in faith and see what God will do in your favor. 

Those who belong to the Lord must never give up walking the journey of faith, because they are part of the Body of Christ, and there is no one that can separate them from it. Such is the Head of this Body; such are the other parts – always winners. Therefore, never stop in the middle of a work you are accomplishing; after all, God will give the means for it to be fulfilled. What was determined regarding you will only fail if you step back. You are the reason why Jesus died. 

On that day, God showed Abraham a lamb caught by its horns. It was not necessary to shed the blood of Isaac, for he would not have any power to cleanse anyone. In fact, some time later, the Father caused the blood of His Son to be spilled for our justification. The blood of the Lamb of God is an everlasting remembrance before the Almighty God.
