And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Mark 16:20

The sign that it’s time to fulfill our mission will come through the Word of the Lord. Our hearts will feel either a freedom to go out or to stay put. Once we’re on the Way, the directions will always come. Those who are wise will identify the time and manner of doing what the Master commands them. So it is important to remember that the Word says that God’s children will be led by His Spirit.

Another very important fact is that we must preach the Gospel as opposed to trying to create a replacement for it. The acceptable preaching is made by virtue of the Lord with signs, wonders and miracles. Jesus explained that the reason why the demons manifested in His ministry was because He used the finger of God (Luke 11:20). As a result, the powers of darkness could not oppress their victims and as they came out they were expelled.

Signs, wonders and miracles happen because of the promise that Christ Himself made to us (John 14:12). However, he who preaches a message without the manifestation of divine power is doing what other religions do: because they’re dead they cannot convince anyone of the truth of the Word. Without miracles no one will follow us, so we need to let the divine power operate in our midst.

Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8). What Christ did in the past He does today! Because He is no respecter of people or of generations we can count on His cooperation in the same way He helped our brothers in the past. That is the secret of a successful ministry, with full operation of divine power. It’s only in this way that the lost will know that the message is from God.

We are in the time of reconciliation of man with God. The New Covenant is open to people of all backgrounds. We cannot close the door to anyone. Instead, we must invite everyone to attend the great feast of the Lord, in which there is healing, deliverance, solutions to problems and other operations of God’s grace.

He who does not obey the Master and therefore does not bear testimony of the convincing power of the Holy Spirit may be held accountable for someone’s eternal harm or suffering. For this reason, it is good to surrender body and soul to the fulfillment of the divine order. Jesus knew what He would do for the lost who were interested in seeking salvation.
