Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back. Isaiah 38.17

Many times, the Lord allows His children to go through sufferings for their own good. We get used to letting ourselves be influenced by what is apparent, without observing the source of things. Afterwards, as the deep calls unto deep (Ps 42.7), we enter in a spiral of destruction that never ends. The most important thing is eternal joy, because the life here on earth will last approximately 80 years, and in some cases, only a little more. Then, it will all be over.

Therefore, for your own peace, He lets your soul suffer great bitterness. This happens when a person feels impotent before a disease or an irreversible situation. In His wisdom, the Omniscient Father allows that an affliction, or anything else that troubles the soul, might oppress us. Because of this, many people get to the conclusion that they were chasing the wind, making decisions that were unwise.

If people learned about the time of the visitation of the Most High in their lives, they would live in a very different manner. God does not come to us to make us bitter, but to lift us up and to keep us from falling in the trap of the enemy. If we listen to the holy Word, the Lord will embrace us lovingly. In this embrace, our soul will be fulfilled and completely delivered.

Man needs this divine embrace so much! God’s presence is so wonderful that in the moment in which He approaches us and makes us feel loved, a feeling of accomplishment arises inside of us. In many cases, people feel loved for the first time. They notice how sin is nasty and then get completely cleaned. Now, you can experience this and let yourself be led by the Spirit through praise and prayer. Thus, you will be completely visited by Your Father.

The devil has prepared pits of corruption, and those who fall in them do not feel the need to be honest or holy. Then, the person who falls into one of these pits enters a process of depression, without having any more pleasure in life, in purity, and in honesty. The person feels like trash, completely helpless, without caring about whom he causes harm. This person needs help, for he will not leave the pit by himself.

There are many children of God on the edge of a pit. If they are not rescued, the temptations will swallow them entirely. Then, they will be forever distant from God, from the reality of life, without noticing that they are wasting time with futile things. What is even worse is that they will not become conscious that they are destroying their own soul. Seek the Lord if such a moment is happening to you, and your deliverance will come.

Wake up! God has put all your sins behind His back. Now you must accept that the Lord has forgiven you completely. Raise your head up and live your life. Do not let yourself be influenced by any temptation. Feel the loving embrace of the Father and free yourself forever from the bondages that the devil has imposed.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Marvelous God and Father, how anointed are the words of King Hezekiah! They were inspired by You, so that we would have the same faith. Now we understand that it was for our own peace that You have allowed us to be afflicted, or else, if it were any different, we would fall into the pit of sin.

The bitterness that took over our soul was a bitter and strong medicine, but it was necessary. Now, as we feel Your loving embrace, we are melting with joy. You have seen our soul on the edge of the pit, almost falling inside, but You have saved us with Your power. Thank You, Lord!

It is so good to walk with our heads held high and to know that our sins have been thrown behind Your back and that now we are free! Joy is ours forever and ever!
