Now all Judah, with their little ones, their wives, and their children, stood before the Lord. 2 Chronicles 20.13

When the devil is able to harm the pastor in a moral, spiritual or physical matter, the flock scatters and, afterwards, gets lost. Jehoshaphat was the enemy’s target, who tried to make him desperate at all costs. The adversary knew that if that happened, he would affect the entire flock of Judah. Today, the story is no different, the evil one is looking to afflict the husband or the wife with theintent to separate the couple and, through this lack of union, take the children to make the craziest, weirdest and most disturbing decisions.

Something very important happens when the people stand before the Lord. In the past, God always asked His servants to stand up to speak to Him. Today, you also have to position yourself, looking for your rights in Christ before you pray, and, when you begin your prayer, talk about your faith, the threat your are facing and your expectation in the Creator.

Jehoshaphat managed to make all the families feel the eminent danger and unite to cry out to God. Those who sense an attack from the devil should proceed in the same way. Sin can cause harm to those that practice it, and it can also destroy the trust the children have on their parents, which is why most children deviate from the Way. We must resist, because our responsibility upon every attack from hell is huge.

Jesus promised that, where two or three gather in His Name, He would be present (Matthew 18:20), and, then, in everything that these people agreed on, their prayer would be answered. The Master always fulfill His words, honoring His name in every situation. Christ also said that everything we determine in His Name will be done (John 14.13), so, whoever believes and determines upon the revelation from the Word, is able to see the work carried out as it was declared.

According to the Scriptures, it is good and pleasurable that we live in fellowship (Psalm 133.1). Therefore, if we do not understand each other, confusion wins its dominion and, through this, there is no way for the Lord to operate. This is why we need to stay firm and trust in what the Lord Most High always fulfills His promises in the lives of those who call upon His lovely Name (2 Chronicles 7.14). At this very moment, believe and receive from the Almighty.

God chose David as king of Israel, but he reigned only at Hebron, because one of Saul’s children wanted to occupy the throne left by the father. Therefore, the Lord moved the heart of the strong leadership from each family so they would go to the son of Jesse to say: Here we are, we are your flesh and bones (2 Sm 5.1). Therefore, now, the enemies were the ones threatening the peace in Judah, but would God refuse to listen or to answer them?

The Bible assures us that if two people lay together, one will warm the other (Ec 4.11); just imagine then, how many would be strengthened if everyone gathered united in the divine purpose. Search the Scriptures and practice the teachings, and do not allow fear or distrust to reach your life. Acting like this, your victory will be inevitable. Know that God is always with those who trust Him.

In Christ, with love,

God of union! Just like You are one with Your Son, make us one with Him and with You. We need to know You as the third fold inside the marriage. We do not desire that the mystery which turned us into partakers of Your nature be forgotten, weakened or dead.

Just like You have awakened the mood of the leaders of thousands in Israel to be united to David, awaken many who have not yet taken the decision to love You and do Your will. You will never allow the evil one to prevail.

Our rights have to be respected not by strength nor violence, but by Your Spirit. Our victory needs to come from You, so we cry out for Your presence among us. Thank you for guiding us in triumph. Amen!
