By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. Hebrews 11.4

Faith is very important for us to attain anything from God. Without it, man cannot please the Lord, and thus, does not have the divine operations working on his favor. Now, why don’t we seek the right way to attend to what the Most High tells us if we have the divine help to do so? The Biblical examples serve to us as orientations; however, we cannot stop trying to find the right manner of pleasing the Omnipotent.

What made Abel please God was not exactly the offer that he surrendered, but the fact that he acted by faith. We know that a man does not have the conditions to understand the heart of the Most High (Dt 29.29; Is 55.9), but if he has accepted Jesus as his Savior, the Holy Spirit will be able to show him what is the divine will. Then, whatever he does will please the Eternal God. Those who seek the Lord for direction will undoubtedly find it. Thus, the things that they accomplish will be very valuable.

By faith, we can offer the Father the right prayer, receive what we need, and rebuke what we do not desire. The Lord is always ready, but we must stop making broken cisterns that can hold no water (Jr 2.13). He is the Source of all supply, He who knows all things and loves us. If we are in Christ, and He is in us, we will know what to request. Thus, we will not be “out of tune”; on the contrary, all our petitions will be accepted (Jo 15.7).

Just like Abel’s faith that made him achieve a righteous testimony, ours will do the same. We only need to walk by faith, believing in the promises of the Lord, and not allowing the enemy to deceive us in any of his attempts. The secret is to remain in what the Word of God says, for not even He can undo what is written. The Lord only has one way of acting, which has already been revealed in the pages of the Scriptures. Those who are wise will not go beyond what is written.

It was Abel’s faith that made the Almighty give testimony about him, and our faith will make the same happen to us. When the Most High spoke about David, He said that He had found a man according to His own heart (Ac 13.22). He said that David was born just like us, being the son of Jesse. It does not matter whose son you are, your faith will change your history.

Even after dead, because of his faith, Abel still speaks. It will be so for all who do as they are ordered. The wise God knows why He has chosen us and why He allowed us to be part of His work to save humanity. One day, in the Heavens, if we do not deny the call, He will show what was in His mind when He invited us to participate in such a grand mission.

Therefore, never despise your faith, but go to the limit of what is possible. Then, you will see that the Lord only waited for this to operate in your favor. When you please God, you will see that He will make even your enemies be in peace with you. Those who love the Lord are also loved by Him and by Jesus (Jo 14.21). Therefore, they are always victorious.

In Christ, with love,

Author and Finisher of our faith! How good it is to know of the importance of faith and to use it to please You and rebuke the enemy, freeing us from evil works! Therefore, here we are, for we want to open our hearts and receive Your grace and Your power.

We know that we must offer greater sacrifices than those that the wicked and the weak in the faith offer You, so that You are not offended, but well pleased. Even in the things that we offer You we must be righteous in order to attain Your testimony. Lord, we cannot give You anything.

Accept the offerings that we give You with all of our hearts. However, first, we must hear from You to know what pleases You, and then, we will give our best. It is with joy that we want to serve You and do Your will, in order for us to have, after we are gone, a memory of what we did in Your favor.
