But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

Revelation 5:5

The Lord Jesus, called the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book of life and put our name on it. Christ has made us kings and priests to God (Revelation 1:6), and because of that work there is no more weeping or hindrances. Jesus also defeated the devil, taking the keys of death and hell from his hands (verse 18), and now he gives us these keys so that we can do His work today.

Christians need to stop disbelieving the Scriptures and believing what someone says. What is written in the Holy Book is what matters, because everything that came out of the lips of the Master shall not come to pass. What the Lord speaks to your heart through the reading of the Bible, meditation and the preaching of the Word is what He wants you to do. Failure to put into practice that which the Almighty commands is missing out on the great privilege to be used by Him.

The Lord is worthy to call all sinners because He has already borne their sins. Those who despise His call lose much. Furthermore, those who fail to believe what the Father tells them to do will no longer receive the reward that would be given for the fulfillment of His will. He who believes and is bold in faith will see that it is very easy to meet the divine requirements. After all, whatever the Lord says will never fail to happen (Numbers 23:19).

You have to stop doubting! When God says something to you He is revealing His purpose for your life. If He is heeded to, the divine power helps all those who have been called to do His work. The minute the Lord speaks, the enemy starts making people discredit what they were told. Those who fail to set their hands to do God’s work prove that the devil’s lie is more important to them.

Rest assured that Elijah felt the same temptations we feel. Other servants were also tempted not to do something because it seemed hard to them. We have no record of the number of people who received a mission and bowed out, but those who carried out what they were told to do were successful. The secret is to shun the doubts, stop fearing failure and persevere to the end.

Jesus prevailed not only in order to open the scroll and loosen the seven seals, but also for you not to lose any battle. He made us kings to His God, so we are sovereign in all things that concern our life. So why not become a winner in all things? By acting in the name of the Lord, based on what He spoke through the Word, you have the assistance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore be firm in faith and you will see the glory of God.
