Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me. Genesis 31.7

Jacob’s perseverance to get what he thought God would give to him is really something to look at, because, if it wasn’t for his perseverance, our salvation would be in danger. He spoke about his fear of the Lord, showing that the lessons that his father gave him, about patience and trust in the Lord, guided his life. This shows that we have to keep in mind that our actions will be imitated, along with our success.

The fight going on inside Rebekah’s womb proves that things go back longer then we can imagine. We don’t know the reasons for God’s decisions, but we should always accept what He does and trust in Him, because, until now, there are a lot of things covered before our eyes. He who is in control will never allow us to be stolen from or harmed. Those who persevere deliver their soul.

When coming to life holding on to Esau’s heel, Jacob already sent the message that he was going to supplant his brother, and that it was only a matter of time. We need to know exactly what the Father’s will is for our lives. We should never be weak and try to take advantage of all opportunities that emerge, but only those that we know that come from Him. Always be faithful to the Lord, because He knows why He chose us.

The seven years that Jacob served Laban to receive Rachel and that later turned into seven more years, are proof of his perseverance to reach the purpose that God had for him. Prepare yourself to receive what was said concerning you, even if many years go by and many things happen; don’t give up when things seem difficult. When the right time comes, whatever He has promised you will emerge before you. Then, just take possession of it.

It looked like he was never going to succeed because his salary changed 10 times, but we never see him arguing with his father in law. Don’t argue over what is yours; let the Lord guide you, because whatever is important to man is not important to God. The divine plans are not our own, and His vision is not the same as ours. But the eyes of the Lord pass through the Earth and surely, He will fulfill what He promised.

Jacob knew that God was going to protect him, lift him up and make justice. By serving the Lord with all of his heart, he learned what to do to receive his fair share Each child of God must believe that the lines have fallen to them in pleasant places; (Psalm 16:6).Therefore, don’t allow the demons to weaken you and make you misbehave. Be a servant of the Most High at all times, because He honors those who honor Him.

Until the last moment of his life, Jacob saw the Lord operating in his favor. This is the will of God for those who believe in Him. Certainly, He will lead you to the best place. There is nothing more productive or rewarding then to adapt yourself in what God makes you understand in His Word. Persevere, because that is the key to success.

In Christ, with love

God of Jacob! There is no way we can say that the one who was born holding Esau’s heel was not chosen by You. What we have felt in Your Word is Your will for us; therefore, help us persevere.

We don’t have to take advantage of the opportunities that come to us, but we must believe that You make the lines fall to us in pleasant places. We are pleased to serve You wholeheartedly wherever You take us.

Until the end of our days, we will see Your hand protecting and guiding us. Deliver us from what doesn’t come from you, just like you delivered David from extending his hand over Saul to make justice with his own hands. Amen!
