10/09/2017 - THE PHARAOH’S STUPIDITY

And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord nor will I let Israel go. Exodus 5:2

Who was the Pharaoh to say anything to the Almighty and above all to answer in this way to the message given to him by Moses? While he gave the message, God Himself caused him to understand that the message came from Him speaking directly to the Pharaoh’s heart.  How often even Christians refuse to listen to the Almighty’s revelation and make little of what is shown to them? They don’t know that their opportunity is running low and the Lord is concerned.

How dare any man say he doesn’t want to hear the Creator, if His voice was that which made him and can protect and guard him from any and all evil? We must know how to discern and differentiate people, because He is not like us. This way, when you speak to the Sovereign God or talk about Him, choose and measure your thoughts and words and if you want to be blessed ask Him to teach you what to say. Never use offensive or idle words. Amen?

Unfortunately many people provoke the Omnipotent and because He is benign and patient they are not affected by the scourges sent by Satan. If you love the Lord, He will love you too; however, if you ignore Him or are ashamed of Him, surely you will be confounded and disregarded.  As seen, they who love Him will be loved by Him (John 14:21)but they who are indifferent to Him will be evil.

Pharaoh didn’t want to hear God’s voice and let the children of Israel – the heirs to the promise leave Egypt – he didn’t recognize in this attitude he was obeying the devil.  Know this: there is no neutrality in spiritual life; either one lives in obedience to the Lord, which will bring protections against the devil or one is vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. Satan is so evil he can’t repay anyone whatever good they do him.

When he declared to know the Almighty, Pharaoh was belittling the Most High and sealing his fate which would come at any moment now. On the other hand when you feel touched by the Lord to do anything – which will always be good, since no evil comes from Him, place yourself immediately at His disposition and service. Even if only to give somebody a glass of water do not refuse Him. Certainly in due time you will be rewarded.

The decision to not let Israel go showed that in truth Pharaoh felt the Almighty speak to his heart, but his economic objectives took precedence over his obedience to the Lord. To serve God is pleasing, recommendable and rewarding, but those who withdraw from His service commit a very serious mistake. Consider the All-Powerful and The One who can do any and all things, asking us to serve Him! Never turn a deaf ear to God’s call.

The Lord’s word to the king of Egypt was fulfilled out in his home, in that land, in all families and even their animals. The Lord would have spared the Pharaoh if he had humbled himself and like the virgin Mary had said, “Here is your servant; be it unto me according to thy word (Luke 1:38). The blessed will be abundantly rewarded. Amen!

In Christ, with Love,

Lord!  When you said to Abraham that the children of Israel would be servants in Egypt for 400 years before being freed, Your will was carried out in that land and likewise included us.

How many things happened in the world so we could listen, hear and understand Your goodness!  Historians did not notice but those that You used to write the Bible saw that Your will would be done in this way. Today, free from the oppression of the enemy, we praise You.

We came to this world by Your decision and we were prepared to love and to honor You, for which we thank You.  We still don’t realize or understand everything that You have done in our favor, but we will render You our true praise in Heaven. Thank you, Father!
