22/03/2015 - THE POWER OF GOD

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Romans 1:16

The Gospel is the most sublime message human ear can hear. It is the cure for all diseases of the soul, body and spirit. In the Scriptures, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, and His power manifests itself through it. Among the good messages that man receives, none equates the Good News. People will be saved or damned according to the answer they give to the Lord’s offer to be members of the Body of Christ (John 12:47-48).

There’s nothing to be ashamed of in being of Jesus. However, this is one of the biggest tricks used by the evil one, which has caused many to be separated from God: the enemy knows that if someone is ashamed of Jesus, His message and His love, the Lord will also be ashamed of that person. There are many people who, despite being in the church, no longer have God’s love because they are ashamed of Christ (Luke 9:26).

It’s a fact that the Good News brings faith so that great miracles of healing, wonders and other signs can be performed, but the main message is the salvation of the lost. No work equals the decision one makes to abandon their old ways and turn to the living God, receiving the forgiveness of sins and the consequent salvation of the soul. The Gospel is the power of God that makes this change possible.

No religion promises or gives man the certainty that their eternal direction will change for the better, but those who accept Jesus in their heart change their fate completely. Man’s quest for truth ends when he understands the message of salvation. Then, after having received Christ as their Savior, the lost abandon the world of deception and become citizens of the kingdom of heaven (Philippians 3:20).

This message promotes an eternal change in all those who once were bound to have hell as their eternal home. As a result, they become free of the torments their soul would suffer through the ages. However, those who reject God’s offer and remain on their ways will not be saved even if their relatives pray for their deliverance; after all, it’s up to each individual to make the decision to receive Jesus in their life.

Paul says that salvation is for everyone, to the Jew first, the natural seed of Abraham, and also to the Greek, the gentiles who weren’t under the promises of God’s law (Romans 1:16). Salvation is something that marks forever the lives of those who experience it. Up until then, people had no power over their will and the temptations that led them into sinning; however, by hearing and believing the Good News concerning what Jesus did on behalf of mankind then they are genuinely saved.

Salvation comprises: divine healing, deliverance from addictions, temptations and witchcraft, poverty, family and marital problems and other hellish woes. The Gospel is the power of God working in the life of the saved. So be free and make sure that everything that troubles your life won’t have dominion over you anymore.

In Christ with love,

Wonderful God! What a beautiful and complete salvation You have provided for all those who love You and seek You. The enemy will not deceive those who hear the good news, because it is Your power that delivers all those who believe. You are wondrous in all things!

My prayer is on behalf of those who were called by You to leave the world of perdition, deception, sin and other works of hell, so that they may take advantage of all that Jesus did for them, but they are not living up to your promises. Save them, Lord!

Why are some people so slow to decide for the happiness of their soul? Those who are leaving it for later will find out that later will be too late. My plea is that the mercy You pour out on everyone might not be wasted.
