If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brother and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. Luke 14.26

Unfortunately, there are many people who have not been taught the true Gospel. They only think about financial blessings, divine healing, and other blessings, which undoubtedly, are good and true. However, what God has for each of us is much better than all of this: He is preparing us to be disciples of Jesus. Those who do not reach this position will be in much loss, so that is why we must warn them.

The price to be an apprentice of the Most High is very high. In fact, it is high for those who have not learned how to honor Him. Those who live in the flesh and care about the things of this world and the cares of life will see that their seed will become unfruitful. They need to wake up for the spiritual reality, and thus, give to the Lord of the Harvest the true love that He deserves. To love God is to obey His commandments (Jo 14.21).

It does not matter if you are the greatest donor in your church, or if you do everything you can for those in need, support the work of God financially, or practice any other good deed. In order to be a disciple of the Master, you must follow the points that are in the verse that we are studying. You cannot forget them or leave them, unless if you do not care about being a disciple of Jesus. If you do not learn with Him, who will you learn with?

There are no favorites or rejected ones. The difference is shown by whom you choose to be your master. Those who do not learn from Jesus will never be able to do the work in the right manner. However, those who have lessons with the Savior and fear God will do the divine work without any reprehension. Therefore, spend time meditating in the Scriptures and praying, in order to be ready to accomplish the good work for which you were called.

If your parents’ plans are different from what the Lord has spoken to you, do not hesitate to pay attention to God’s will, for it will remain forever. Even if you are disinherited, abandoned as a son, or suffer any kind of loss, never abandon the divine purpose for your life. The heavenly Father knows why He has chosen you in Christ .With the firmness of your faith in Jesus, the Lord will save all your family.

There was a supper that a man prepared, and invited many people; however, most had other things to do (Lk 14.16-20). Go and do what God has ordered you, before it is too late. Whoever is influenced by rumors, advices by the flesh and blood will never be fit for the Kingdom of Heaven. Because of stupid things, many people will lose the opportunity of their lives. Only those who hate their own soul are fit to do the will of the Lord. You must have a commitment only with God.

There is no greater position in the world than being a disciple of Christ. In order to be so, you must get completely involved with the Lord. Do not let your parents, children, professional career, dreams, or other things prevent you from pleasing God. Whoever you may be, with whatever you may have, hate it all in order to be considered a disciple of the Master of masters.
