Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. Genesis 1.26

We must pay attention to the work that was carried out by the Holy Trinity. When He was almost finishing the creation project, God the Father spoke to more than one person that He should do man in Their image. Most certainly, He was talking to the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then, They came into action and from the dust of the earth they created man, who had the breath of life blown into his nostrils, his soul came alive and would never again cease to exist. 

Human being was not only created in the image of God, but also in His likeness. This shows that under divine guidance, man could do the same things that the Lord could. However, the fall of Adam caused us a great loss, for it disconnected us from God and put us under Satan´s command. If Adam and Eve had remained in the garden and if an angel had not been placed in order to prevent them from eating from the tree of life, we could be away from the Most High forever. 

The original plan was for man to dominate the fish of the sea. Now, the water symbolizes the Word; then, when speaking of them, we can understand that they typify the beings that work in the Kingdom of God to carry out His will. Human being would be like a partner of the Most High, just like Jesus, who only spoke and did what the Father told Him to. Disobedience brought the powers of wickedness into our midst, but, with the work of Calvary, this evil operation ceased (John 12:31). 

Man was to dominate the birds of the sky. In the parable of the sower, Jesus compared the birds that eat the fallen seeds along the roadside with the demons. In other words, He declared that those people who are away from the Path soon lose the revelations they received from the Lord because Satan “eats” that which did not enter their heart. This happens to those who are not in Christ. It’s time to deliver people who are under the yoke of darkness. 

Over every living thing that moves on the earth, we understand that man would have the power over microscopic beings, which would cause great harm to them once they came into contact with man. Behind every temptation there is an evil spirit, whether in the soul, body or spirit. We would have the power to resist the evil forces and keep them away from our life. It´s time to repair the great loss we have suffered and go back to being God´s dream. 

Just like in the sin Adam committed we lost the prerogatives we were given, in the work carried out by Christ we recovered all of them. Thus, we have the authority over the kingdom of hell; after all, where sin abounded, grace abounded much more (Romans 5:20). Today, those who accept Jesus recover the position they had as it was planned by God in the beginning of creation. We were dominated but now we are back to dominating. However, we can be sure of one thing: without Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5). 

Don’t let the devil oppress you. Rise up in the Name of Jesus and command all evil that binds you and tries to destroy you to leave immediately. Then, believe that the work was done. Every time you assume your position in Christ, God is glorified (John 14:13).
