He has filled them with skill to do all manner of work of the engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works.

Exodus 35:35

All skills come from the Lord. We acquire the skills of the mind through observation and teaching, but the divine ones come about through revelation. He who is wise-hearted makes a difference in all things, but he who does not care about what God reveals to him always stumbles. The Almighty fills us with His wisdom to do His work in a way that is much better than the average person would do. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God (James 1:5).

Mankind expects more of God’s children, who sometimes cannot even master simple things. The enemy that dominates the lost draws their attention to this fact and causes them to harden their hearts against the Gospel. When we exert power over any situation, even our way of speaking is an unmistakable message of what God can do for His people.

Bezalel and his friends fulfilled the divine plan by performing the most ingenious works. For us, who have been begotten anew in Christ, there are no such things as unsolvable problems. We are anointed to solve any issue. We cannot be labeled as a faithless and perverse generation, which the Lord has to bear; rather, we must be perceived as the generation that gives Him joy.

It wasn’t enough for the Lord to see the Tabernacle in the wilderness being built according to the model He had shown to Moses. God wanted the finishing details to be the best ever, so He commanded Moses to summon Bezalel, Oholiab and all the others who wished to learn from them so that the final touches were perfect. The Lord God always wants the best for His work.

They were expected to use the finest and most precious materials existant in those days, and this is a lesson for us. Whenever we do something for the Lord we should not do the same we would do anywhere else. The divine work deserves excellence in everything. The way we do the work shows whether or not we are thankful to the Lord.

Do not turn away from the work God has assigned you. The wisdom that He has given you is enough to make you better. No wonder the Almighty chose you to be the executor of His blessed will. Do not fear, for He will be with you.
