They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing. Psalm 92:14

There are many things that should not be forgotten by those who are planted in the house of the Lord. One of them is that the Most High wants to use them until the moment when the leave to Heaven. We cannot put down our weapons before God gives the order to recall us. He says that our death is precious to His eyes, and thus, that we should never let sicknesses of the body or mind to come over us.  After all, by Jesus’ wounds we were healed (Psalm 116:15; Isaiah 53:5).

Since we were truly saved, we must flourish in the Father’s courts, not allowing any disappointment, bitterness, or sadness to take over our hearts. Those who do not learn to rejoice in God live a mediocre faith. On the other hand, those who delight in Him are filled with strength, for the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). It is our obligation to rejoice in the Most High, for this is one of His commandments.

Another important fact is to not accept that becoming old is to enter in a period of lack of good judgment or modesty. On the contrary, old age is a period to announce the wonders that God has done during our youth. Our youth days are eternal; after all, if we belong to the Lord, we can physically get older, but not spiritually. He promises to renew it like the eagle (Psalm 103:5). Therefore, do not accept anything that the enemy says, but remain unshakeable in the faith. 

We cannot be frightened or bow down before our challenges. We must confess, like Caleb, that our strength is the same as when we started walking with God. Our confession has a great role to play in our decisions. When we speak of what we fear or what we cannot do, we let ourselves be led by the evil one, who traps us in his mesh. We have been made strong in order to be victorious.

We must be fresh in the faith, because through it, we will do signs and wonders. In the end, we will prove that sin, time, and lack of knowledge have no influence at all over us. The Word orders that we may remain strong in the freedom in which we have been set free (Galatians 5:1). Thus, there is no need to seek another way of being free. After all, the only way that truly remains is the way that our God offers. We must only remain in freedom!

The righteous must flourish in everything. Since they have received eternal life, there is no fear or any other weapon from Hell that can detain them. Lack of faith is one of the ways that the devil paralyses the saved ones. Although faith comes by listening to the Word (Romans 10:17), most people do not keep it, and when they are tempted, accept what the devil tells or shows them. Now, everything that comes from him is a lie, and whoever accepts the evil offers will end up in great melancholy.

Therefore, if we live with faith in Jesus, we will announce that the Lord is righteous, He is our Rock, and there is no injustice in Him (Psalm 92:15). Besides, God only says the Truth and always conducts us in triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14). Why should we live below what is planned by God if we can have everything that Scriptures announce? Wake up to live the Truth and therefore, to glorify the Lord! Halleluiah!
