04/09/2018 - THE ROCK OF ISRAEL SPOKE TO ME

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. 2 Samuel 23: 3

David had the privilege of loving the Lord early on. Because he was not a spiteful person, the future king had no grievance from the time when his father sent him to look after the sheep of the family. There, David took the time to be in communion with God, to play the harp and to lead the flock to the green fields and the calm waters. In this way, his animals were fed and shepherded.

This little shepherd of sheep could consider himself without any rights, because he was the eighth son of a simple family (1 Samuel 16:10,11). Given that, what could he expect? The firstborn would inherit twice as much as him, and if the first child died, the second would succeed him. Looking at the natural order, his turn would never come. However, as David retained his faith in the Most High, a number of good things began to happen and made him king and shepherd of Israel. Your day will come too!

David laid his faith in the God of Israel, an understanding which Jacob had of the Lord (Genesis 33:20). Today, we do not have to declare the same concerning the Most High, because the revelation was expanded, by David and the other servants of the Almighty, who served Him before Jesus came, when the revelation was concluded. He is the God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now we have the Lord in full, and because of this we are more than conquerors.

The son of Jesse stated that the God of Israel, the Rock of Israel, had spoken to him. This made David victorious in the battles, because he clung to the Lord’s directions and would not give up on them. So he kept the revelation by believing in it and repeating it in detail. When God told him that a righteous man would rule over men (2 Samuel 23:2-3), He was speaking of Jesus, who would come into the world to deliver us from the kingdom of darkness (Isaiah 61:1). Halleluiah!

This dominion would be in the fear of the Lord, in respect of what God had told him. If you wish to overcome your battles, always be in tune with the Most High through the Scriptures. In them, you will find the power to do the work that pleases Him. You must believe in all that you learn from the Almighty, and from this instruction, your procedure should be of total respect towards Him.

The Just One has already come and rescued us from the evil empire (Colossians 1:13,14). Therefore, there is no reason to fear the devil or his demons, since they cannot reach us. Refuse any teaching that leads you to be more timid in faith, stating that if you are intrepid, the devil can turn against your life and attack you and make you suffer. That was never true; on the contrary, the evil one fears when we speak in the Name of Jesus (Mark 16:17,18).

Stand by with what the eternal Rock, the God and Father of Christ tells you, because He speaks the Truth. By understanding the statements of the Word, you have rights and privileges in Jesus. The act of believing in the Most High is enough to save you and make you victorious. To love God is to believe in His Word!

In Christ with love,

Lord! It is wonderful to know You as our Savior, to walk in Your presence and to enjoy the power of the Name of Jesus. We are pleased with Your deeds in our lives, so we declare our love for You. Thank You for giving us Your Name.

You have spoken to us by the Word as you spoke to David. With this, we feel powerful. Your strength prepares us to live our rights in Christ, who paid a high price for our salvation. We cannot waste even a single piece of the bread that has been multiplied.

We love the Just announced by You, which dominates over all things and especially over men. For having conquered Hell, You gave Him all power in the Heavens and on the Earth. We want to live in Your love and fear. Amen!
