11/01/2015 - THE SECRET IS IN GOD’S WORD

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. Psalm 130.5

Jesus is the Word that became flesh (Jo 1.1). He is everything that we need in order to know the Most High and receive from Him what we need to be victorious in our battles. Those who learn this important lesson are transformed from one minute to another, from defeated, problematic, and afflicted people without solutions to truly victorious people. They are not disheartened nor do they allow any of Satan’s tricks to lead them.

The psalmist knew how to make the right decision: wait for the Lord. He must have the primacy in our decisions, because since He is God, He knows what is best for us. Those who are hastened in deciding something do not wait for the right moment, and might arrive early (Pv 19.2). Now the enlightened know the right time to make the prayer of faith and take possession of what belongs to them. However, those who let the opportunity go, commit a serious mistake.

It is useless to only wait with your mind, confessing it in a fake way. Your interior must be controlled by faith, so that anxiety might not dominate it. David waited for the Most High in his soul, and since he did so, he did not get desperate. If your soul becomes restless, you might disturb the divine plans. The king of Israel learned to consult the Lord and wait for His directions. The All-Powerful will always speaks in the right moment.

The secret of secrets is to wait in the Word of God. Do not think that it is only a bunch of nice writings. It is the voice that we must listen, the means by which the Father speaks to us, addresses us, and gives us all kinds of blessings. By the Word, all things were created, and without it, nothing was made (Jo 1.3). When we hear it for the first time, we feel as if it were familiar (and it is, in truth), for we were created in it, by it, and for it. It is the Word that completes man.

The reason why the Lord does not want to speak when we cry to hear His voice is because we are not truly living in Him. However, even if we are not spiritually well, if we need help, we must seek the Source of solutions. Pray that God might help you to approach Him, and if you feel that you are committing any mistake, confess it and leave it immediately. The Word will be sent to you in the right moment.

When the Word is revealed to us, our heart rejoices. This means that Jesus came personally to visit us, and then, with a simple order, all evil that attacks us will have to leave and abandon us. It was exactly what David said that he did, and for this reason, he was never disappointed with the Most High. It is completely impossible for a person to trust in the Lord and be disappointed with Him. God will never deny what He says.

It does not matter the urgency of a decision. The secret of success is: wait for the Lord and wait for His Word. Then, inside of you there will come such a strong conviction, that even if a situation is irreversible, you will not fear any evil, and like the heroes of faith (Hb 11), you will accomplish the work according to the divine will.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Lord! With joy, we come to Your presence. We come to thank You for what You revealed to David. Certainly, he was guided to register the secrets that You made him know, and thus, in that time and nowadays, Your people have been blessed by it.

We also wait for You, and so we will not fear. Even if the enemy rises against us and comes with all of his strength to makes us stumble, we will not fall. Those who trust in You will always be like mount Zion, who will remain forever.

Help us to straighten our lives with You, and thus, we will not be struck by the waves of temptations thrown by the enemy to take away our peace. If we are firm in You, why should we tremble? Thank You for loving us and sending us Your Word.
