For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds. Psalm 57:10

A God’s mercy is just like Him: immeasurable. The Creator says that it is greater than the need of all people together. He who despises this heavenly gift loses much and will see that his attitude was the worst possible, for he forsook the Fountain of living waters and chose to dig broken cisterns (Jeremiah 2:13). Man needs the Father´s goodness!

Lot spoke of this mercy, saying that the Lord made it great for him, because his decision to take Abraham’s offering by choosing the river territory of Sodom certainly made him rich (Genesis 19:19). However, since Lot did not have a positive influence on the behavior of the people of that region, the Most High had to destroy them. When he left with only the garment of his body, Lot understood that God was compassionate towards him and his family. The Heavenly Father is faithful!

In delivering the Ten Commandments to Moses, the Lord said that He would be kind to thousands who kept His statutes. But He also said that He would visit the iniquity of parents in their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Him (Exodus 20:5), for example, worshiping sculptured images. The idolaters cannot imagine the evil they cause to their descendants.

Never argue with God or accuse Him of extending His kindness to some people to the detriment of others. The Lord says He will be gracious on whom He wills (Exodus 33:19). This means that there are hidden factors to us about the attitudes of the Most High. Possibly, those left without His assistance neglected the opportunities He gave them.

One thing is sure: God is not evil, but faithful in keeping the covenant for a thousand generations to those who love Him and keep His teachings (Deuteronomy7: 9). When we accept Jesus as Savior and practice His precepts, the curse upon our relatives is broken, for by believing in Christ we are saved. The cloak of salvation is extended to our descendants.

See what cursed by the Scriptures means and never do what it forbids, in order not to light divine wrath against you. Whoever ignores biblical precepts, when he comes to his senses, he will see that he has turned away from the mercy of the Almighty. Although they use holy means, they will never multiply. God is kind, but also zealous!

The Lord promises to avenge the blood of His servants who were mistreated, killed or wounded because of His work. Those who disregard heavenly determinations are fools. The Word declares that God will render vengeance to His adversaries;

He will provide atonement for His land and His people” (Deuteronomy 32.43b). Divine mercy is so great that it goes to the Heavens. Halleluiah!
