12/03/2015 - THE SPIRIT IS THE SIGN

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1 John 3.24

When a Christian resists the divine calling, he commits a great mistake, being excluded from God’s protection and opened to every kind of evil action. It is certainly a loss to live according to this world, for whoever does so will never receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. When the saved is baptized in the Spirit, he is involved by the Lord, so there is not even a space for the enemy to occupy in his life. Scripture declares that whoever does not have the Spirit of God does not belong to Him (1 Jo 4.6).

The person who has not received Jesus lives outside of the wonderful protection of God and has many losses for staying under the forces of darkness. Now, those who have surrendered their lives to Christ start to live in a sane environment, where the actions of the enemy do not happen. They are kept from temptations and the attacks from the spirit of perversity. Those who refuse salvation need to be warned that they are not “neutral”, but under the government of the devil.

There is a sign that characterizes the person that is still subject to the empire of evil: he is not able to keep God’s commandments. Those who are governed by the spirit of mistake do not have the ability to fulfill the divine precepts. However, those who are born again get rid of the devil’s oppressions and temptations forever. It would be good if all people would evaluate themselves to know if they are serving God or Satan.

It may appear simple, but the act of fulfilling what God has ordered is the proof of the filiation of the person in the divine family. The saved do not see a problem in doing what the Master orders. However, the lost, even if they put a tremendous effort, they are not able to obey the Lord, doing what the evil one desires and giving themselves to the practice of the worst mistakes. Only the redeemed by the blood of Christ experience the pleasure of serving God!

When a Christian discovers that he is in God and God in him, he can assume everything that the Scriptures declare that belongs to him. There isn’t  and will never be a battle where such a person is not able to win. There are two factors that identify if you are saved or not: when the enemy loses completely the power to afflict you and the supernatural operations of the Lord being common in your life. Undoubtedly, being saved is infinitely better than continuing in the hands of the devil.

The saved does not doubt that he belongs to God, since he knows that he is in the Father and the Father is in him, for he received of His Spirit (1 Jo 4.13). However, those who do not have the Holy Spirit have not reached this blessing yet. Those who are sealed with the Promise from on High are brave, speak positively, do not bow before the temptation, and since they are in God, they are prepared to be victorious in all battles.

Those who were sealed by the Comforter can and must declare themselves freed from all oppression, for they have received the necessary power to claim their rights. The Almighty has given authority to step over all the power of the enemy to all who believe. Those who accept the enemy’s attacks are not yet saved or are in sin.
