08/06/2018 - THE WATERS OF SHILOAH

Inasmuch as these people refused The waters of Shiloah that flow softly, And rejoice in Rezin and in Remaliah’s son Isaiah 8:6

One of the things that most displeases the Lord is the fact that many of His sons disregard His rich and blessed counsels, living far from the Truth.  Acting this way, they will certainly suffer great temptations and sufferings.  There is no way to calm these waters and avoid passing the storms sent from Hell against those who have no fear of God.  Therefore, the question remains; how is it that anyone can have these disastrous attitudes?

Whether we want it or not, there are moments during our existence on Earth when we go through trials and tribulations.  Those who know the Almighty claim and practice their rights in Christ, enter and go through and come out of these struggles with their head high, for they received  authority over all  the powers of darkness, the cause of these misfortunes.  It is necessary to return to spiritual soundness, seek and find the Lord and believe in what He says is our path to be delivered from the deeds of the empire of darkness.

There is no other way for man to be delivered from infernal attacks, no matter how small, unless he is connected to God though faith in the word.  Do not play with your chances, for the devil, man’s eternal adversary, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).  If you do nothing, he will confound you completely, even if you do not seek him.  So if you want to be joyful and victorious seek only the Lord.

The flow of the Word in the heart of one who loves the heavenly Father is so soft that it is compared to the gentle course of the Waters of Shiloah.  These waters come directly from the divine throne and provide an enormous benefit to those who use them, for they sooth the heart and fill it with love, hope, faith.  On the other hand, those that turn their back on the Source of good, when they are in need they will not find any help or assistance; a direct consequence of  their misconduct that closed the door on divine intervention in their life.  Mercy!

Pekah, son of Remaliah, king of Samaria, angered the Lord with his actions, as did Jeroboam in the earlier days of this nation, which was torn from the house of David.  In his confusion he joined forces with Rezin, king of Syria, and invaded Judah, but were not able to go against Ahaz (2 Kings 16:5). Their intention was to defeat the kingdom of Judah and divide it  among them.  Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-Pileser, king of Assyria, proposing alliance and declaring himself subservient and son, in order to be rescued (v.7).

Ahaz demonstrated no need for God, for he was evermore steeped into idolatry, and even in error, he found aid in the Assyrian king.  This has happened to all who seek the devil, who will do everything not to lose them.  It is not good to need, ask or accept help from Satan, because in the end you will pay a much larger price than the initial loss.

The Word of the Lord is clear: no pact with the servants of the devil will prevail.  It will be the ruin of who participates in any wicked pact.  However, believing in the Lord, you will be wise and succeed. Don’t miss this opportunity and return to the Almighty, and cut off all and any involvement with the enemy.  In God there is life and freedom.

In Christ, with Love,

R. R. Soares

Omniscient God!  How stupid was Ahaz, who being a descendant of David, he could have received what he needed from You.  The same occurred with Pekah and Rezin, king of Syria.  You have blessings for all but not everyone seeks You or serves You.  Mercy!

Pekah’s and Rezin’s arrogance and pride prevented them from having access to the Waters of Shiloah; therefore, they had no way to stop Satan from interacting in their lives.  I pray for all that are in a similar situation, for they will not prevail against the evil flood that will overcome them.

Mercy for all those who insist in walking in iniquity and refuse to see the good. Because of this behavior, they will find suffering in the coming years and will always reap the eternal tragedy of separation from You.  That they may wake up and cry out to You and serve You!
