The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.  Isaiah 40.3

We are living times of Good Tidings, as God works as He did during the days of Jesus´ ministry on earth. There is no reason why we should not have the heavenly hand doing wonders, if this was promised to us by our blessed Savior. However, there is a primary condition to occur: the way of the Lord must be prepared. After all, He won’t do His work without the faith be present in the heart of the person who wishes to be blessed.

The voice wasn’t sent to cry in the middle of the garden of God, where people know and answer His will, but in the wilderness. Many noxious and venomous animals, harmful to those who live there, are in this place. In the human desert, not even holiness is known or respected. People who live in it picture the abandon and the danger of crossing it. In this waste and hostile environment, we are settled to act.

Preparing the way of the Lord requires more than capability and accomplishment. Without the direction and the anointment of the Holy Spirit we won’t get anything. Each day we hear about unclean practices and total disrespect with children, elders and disabled. So much evil is around that we are not shocked anymore with the facts that repeat again and again.

The world is full of churches and religions. It seems there is everything for everybody, except places dedicated for the Word of God to work. Men invented so many things they stopped divine operation. The deviation hasn’t stopped yet; even where, a short time ago, the work of God was being developed; now what is interesting is the personal promotion. For this to happen, people make use of politics, philosophical and religious artifices.

When the way of the Lord is prepared, miracles happen. This shows the Lord is willing to do His peculiar work among us, such as heal the sick, the blind see, the deaf hear, the mute speak, the lame walk. However, when the way is not prepared, nothing happens. As a matter of fact, we are responsible for doing the divine work, taking the gentle message that puts the power of God in action in all places.

The command is given: we have to prepare the way of the Lord and make straight in the desert a highway for our God. There is no evil force that can stop us from fulfilling this commandment. We have the authority from the Father to raise or fall down everything that hinders us from obeying Him. It is a matter of using the authority and fulfilling what was ordered to us.

Even in the desert, where nobody is expected to pass by, the Most High has planned to do one of His most graceful works. If you were called by Him to speak out His voice throughout the world, you already know how to act in order to fulfill His commandments.
