And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3.17

We have not been called to be lazily laid back and full of dreams, but, on the contrary, to work hard and continue the work Jesus has started, as He has commanded us. Those who toil at something, other than what the Master has commanded, will see that they have toiled for nothing. Any work with no Biblical basis will definitely not be accepted. The most important sign of the return of Jesus – the preaching of the Gospel to all flesh (Matthew 24.14) – has nothing to do with what men do for themselves, but with how Jesus did it.

We may never forget the lesson our Master has taught us about the talents. It is very deep, because those who do not multiply them will be sent to the outer darkness (Matthew 25.30). If that were not true, Jesus would not have said so. It is time to reevaluate your acts of faith, because, if you have been rebellious or despised the holy commandment, you will be amazed at the command to march into eternal damnation.

The lazy and careless towards God’s work must quickly seek for His help. Those who disobey the Master’s instructions are in danger. Christ was not playing or having a small talk when He taught us about how serious faith is. Peter, for example, was rebuked because he paid attention to the boisterous wind and revolting water (Matthew 14.30). No one who gives attention to this world’s material gains or threats will go unpunished.

We must follow Mary’s example, sitting at Christ’s feet, in order to learn the correct way of pleasing Him. Martha was warned because she was not having the right attitude even though she was serving well the Master (Luke 10.38-42). He who fails to examine the Scriptures will not be excused of their neglect. We can only know the right way to go if we are doing the will of the Lord. It is productive to spend time to learn and then see your work accepted in God’s eyes.

Beware of this world’s friendships, or the advice of unsaved parents, or those who are not in the Spirit, as well as masters who lack the knowledge of the Almighty. A person may be considered to be wise, but if he or she does not remain in the Word, this person will not know the safe way to go. Friends may want to be helpful, family may work hard to see you succeed, but only those who walk in the light of the Most High know the way (Psalm 119.105).

The decision is yours. It is good, though to seek the help of the Holy Spirit before you make any decision. He alone is infallible, because He knows all things and is our Counselor – the one who was given us to teach us all things (John 14.26). Therefore, be watchful in the Word. And, in no time, you will know the right way to go. Then, use the Name of Jesus in thanks giving to the Father.

Do all in the Name of Jesus, giving thanks to God for that Name. When you possess that assurance – the faith – determine that all things must be done according to the Scriptures and, after you have given the orders, remain in your position. There is no way to fail if you have done this under the revelation given you. Even if it seems to be late, the Lord will fulfill His promises (2Peter 3.9).

In Christ, with love,

Lord, Your Name is glorious! Here we are to do Your will in this generation. We know we need more information and, because of that, we ask Your Word to be opened. We do not want to be lazy nor ask without receiving anything.

Help us multiply that which you have given us, because we do not want to be rebuked for not doing Your will. It is impossible, however, to go anywhere without Your help. Therefore, we need Your love, favor and mercy to fulfill Your plan.

Thank you for the anointing of the Holy Spirit, which rests upon our lives. Help us to do Your will so that we can please You. Keep us from the temptations that cross our way and, at the same time, make each reader a winner for Your praise.
