And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for I have hoped in Your ordinances.

Psalm 119.43

God has given his Word power to create all things. When God’s Word is revealed to us, we can overcome the evil one. So, we no longer need to ask for deliverance; rather, we must demand that all suffering leave us in the name of Jesus. No word sent by the Lord will fail its mission. Jesus said that heaven and earth will pass away, but his words will by no means pass away (Luke 21.33).

The best thing is that God’s Word has the same power it had upon creation. Once it has been delivered to you, it is yours, and, in this respect, you will become authority. For instance, if forty years ago you received healing through the Word, but now your illness is coming back, stand firm on what God promised you and demand your illness to leave. Do not forget that God’s gifts are irrevocable!

Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59.2), and as long as sin remains in your life, the Lord’s ears will be closed to your cry. But, if you confess your sin and turn from it, your fellowship with God will be restored. If you feel that the Lord is disciplining you for something you did, act like the psalmist, who prayed asking that the word of truth would not be taken out of his mouth (without which man has no strength).

It is important to take heed to God’s ordinances, because all declarations he makes about us are decisions that will never be revoked, therefore they are ours (as they have been revealed to us). So even if you feel that the Lord is disciplining you for a wrong path you have taken, remember that, because of your love for his ordinances, if you call upon the Lord, he will not take the word of truth out of your mouth.

Because God’s ordinances cannot be revoked or suspended, demand that all evil leave your life, based on the ordinance that corresponds to your need. For example, if you need healing, command that all evil leave your life, based on God’s declaration that we were healed by the stripes of Jesus (1Peter 2.24b). Your declaration has power to undo the works of Satan!

Your opportunity is now, while you are still around. After the second coming of Jesus (or after your death), there will be no oppression or illness to be cast out. So why wait until tomorrow? Why not take possession of what belongs to you in Christ? If you hope in God’s ordinances, the word of truth will not be taken out of your mouth.

The best time to make a decision against the evil that has come upon you is when you understand your position before all things. At this moment, because He has revealed his decision to you, the Father is looking into your heart. If you demand all evil to leave in the name of Jesus, the power of God will act. It is up to you!
