So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage. Exodus 6:9

The revolt against Moses was unjustifiable, but this is always the case to those who are used by God. So that a person does not listen or pay attention to a servant of God the enemy transfers the blame for any curse to the emissary of the Almighty’s mission and message.  The real responsible for any wrong doing or evil that happens are the people themselves that many times do not awaken to the reality of their state of being in sin.

The Lord placed Moses and Aaron before those people who poured their hearts before both servants, when in truth they should have turned completely and exclusively to God. Many people lack the courage to face the Almighty with their sins and transgressions and they cry out to the envoys or ministers instead.  If they had been living and walking in righteousness before the heavenly Father, no harm would have befallen them.

Moses the liberation leader, was touched by what he heard and went into prayer asking  the Lord why He had harmed the people who after all didn’t even know Him as they should, not even by name.  The Lord does not wreak harm to anybody, but if they do not seek Him as they should, the enemy has the power to oppress them.  Only those who keep His commandments will be safe from the enemy’s harm (Proverbs 19:16; Ecclesiastes 8:5).

If a person does not offer God the conditions for Him to intercede in their life, then He can’t fulfill His promises.  The Almighty is restricted within holiness and those that do not live accordingly, cannot see His work in their favor.  Besides, by not seeing His divine hand in action, we are used to complaining before Him instead of asking Him to reveal why we do not experience His blessings.  The truth is that a causeless curse will not come (Proverbs 26:2)

The Lord heard the prayers of his servant and said He would intercede.  At last the Pharaoh would let the children of Israel go. That plan was extremely important as it symbolizes our departure from death to life.  There is nothing that is done by God in your life that doesn’t have a lesson attached to it – no matter how small.  What might be held by some to be small may be one of the largest operations carried out for Your eternal good. God is good!

The Almighty told Moses that HE was Lord and neither Abraham, nor Isaac or Jacob knew Him by His Name. (Exodus 6:3) There are facts that only we will understand even thousands of years after being revealed.  To learn with God will turn us into the blessing that society needs in order to be delivered from evil.  Don’t give in to the enemy at all, but even most importantly: seek the Heavenly Father with all of your heart and all of your strength.

Finally, God said that He would make Jacob’s descendants His and He would be their God and promised that they would receive the land that He had sworn to give to the patriarch’s seed (v. 7, 8). That Seed is Jesus; so, we have the right to enter into the Land of Promise, the true Canaan, and enjoy all the promises and blessings of God.  Halleluiah!
