01/01/2016 - THEY DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO SERVE GOD

For they have not served You in their kingdom, or in the many good things that You gave them, or in the large and rich land which You set before them; nor did they turn from their wicked works. Nehemiah 9.35

We are living in dangerous times, in which our nation is getting richer. Thus, many people do not notice that the enemy and worldliness are taking over their lives. The people of Judah went through the same problem; they fell in the enemy’s traps, and were taken into captivity. The fact is that they did not know how to deal with prosperity. The kingdom of Israel and Judah prospered and left the Lord to worship the “gods” of people from other nations.

Unfortunately, Mammon has influenced many saved people. If they do not wake up, in little time, there will not be anything in them that makes them different from the lost. Wealth without measure leads to other sins, and later, to spiritual death. It is useless to have an appearance of godliness, credit to God all your success, but deny Him the lordship over your life. Those who become worshippers of the god of wealth fall into the hands of false gods.

The fall happens in this way: after Mammon, comes Eros, and other demons of the flesh, to lead their followers to filthy and immoral practices. When the time comes for these people to leave this life, these slaves of lust will see that their destiny is not heaven, but Hell. Considering Nehemiah’s example, it is necessary to pray, confess, and abandon sin, which is the reason why many Christians are living true hell.

Now, since they were back to the Promised Land, had they learned their lesson? It seemed so, but in truth it was the opposite. In little time, they were already getting married with people that served the gods of other nations, lending with usury, and committing the same sins that their ancestors did. Only those who are firm in the Rock, serving the Father with all of their hearts, are able not to bow before the devil.

When a soul is satisfied with the pleasures of this world, it is already sold to the demon of mistake. Thus, this person will never notice that he lost his way to Heaven. The lack of fear hinders the light to shine in the heart, and the addiction to worldly pleasures drives even the most consecrated Christians to walk away from God’s presence. Many do not notice that they have chosen the way of sin, and so, they don’t return to the real and pure faith.

God gives us abundance to accomplish His work properly. However, for many people, what comes to their hands is used on desires of the flesh. Thus, they paralyze the manifestation of the power of the Most High, not enjoying the best that He has planned. Yet, those who maintain the vision of the Gospel renew their faith and hope every new day. It is very foolish to stop serving God. Whoever does so will be lost eternally, and together with his family will walk in the path of mistake.

Our goal should be to fulfill the divine plan, which cost Jesus’ sacrifice. It is important for you to recognize that you have transgressed, and to convert from your evil works. Then, one day, when someone talks about you, he will say that you were a good servant of the Lord.
