17/01/2017 - THEY PROVOKED THE EYES OF HIS GLORY

For Jerusalem stumbled, and Judah is fallen, because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of His glory.  Isaiah 3.8

This biblical warning is so that the one who stands in the Lord may never fall (1 Co 10.12). However, Judah fell. Even though they were God’s exclusive property, because of its unworthy behavior, they were surrendered to the enemy in order to learn to respect the Most High. The same has happened with many converted people, who consider themselves holy, but have been involved with the devil in various ways.

Nobody sins by chance, but only by paying attention to the evil one. Satan tempted Jesus, but the Master gave us an example of how to escape his offers by quoting the Scriptures. Therefore, every time you are under temptation, confess the Word. Then, the accuser will not be successful against your life. He will never stop tempting you, so declare what is in the Bible, saying God’s words.

Two sad moments in the history of the Jews were predicted long before they happened: the stumbling of Jerusalem and the fall of Judah. The children of Israel did so many wrong things that they provoked the eyes of the divine glory. If they had obeyed the Almighty’s rules, they would not have done such evil to His eyes. Is it right to provoke the Lord with your behavior? Now, He wants to see His people victorious against the devil.

Whoever is led by the demon, whose mission is to make you become irresponsible, will feel the pain of acting in such a way. For several times, God sent prophets to warn His people, but they preferred to walk in darkness. Whoever ignores what the Lord says and does the contrary of what He orders seals his own condemnation. This has happened to saved people all around the world. Therefore, there has been much abomination in midst of the saints.

In the same way that a person commits adultery in looking with impure thoughts to another, those who are obedient to the devil and do not seek repentance communicate with him, and are under his power. Be careful, for Satan fights desperately to take all virtues away from the saved ones, and he is trying to do that with you. If one day you are driven away from communion with the Father, it will be a very sad day.

The words of the Israelites and their works were against the Lord. So they were not able to stand. Change your words, your attitudes, and your heart, for if you continue following the demon’s ways, you will be his next victim. As a servant of God, stop desiring someone that is not your spouse. Do not desire intimacy with this person, not even in your mind, because Jesus considers it the same as adultery.

The children of Israel knew that they were getting far from God, but they were deceived by the enemy to think that the Lord was not as severe as Scriptures said. Therefore, they did not see a problem in doing “small evil things”. Seek for holiness and reject the devil in any space of your heart, for everything that comes from him is meant to destroy you.

In Christ, with love,

Beloved God! We have the example that it is not enough to declare ourselves to You; we must live according to Your will, renouncing wickedness and not giving space to Satan. All our beings are exclusively Yours.

May Your eyes always see us fighting by faith and not bowing before Hell’s proposals. May the king of hatred be defeated, so that we are not driven away from Your presence and the commitment that unites us to You.

Our words and works must be for You. We must be Your cooperators, not provoking You. We want to bring joy to Your eyes, so that You may be pleased with us. Teach us to be wise!
