17/03/2016 - THEY WILL NEVER FIND ANY GOOD

He who has a deceitful heart finds no good, and he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.    Proverbs 17.20

There are two kinds of people that are greatly troubled – the perverse and the one with a deceitful heart. Why should someone embrace perversity and falsehood? It is a question that those who have tasted the love of God cannot answer. The Lord does not refer to the lost, since they are already condemned, unless they truly convert and leave the hands of the devil; He refers to those who call themselves saved but act as Satan teaches them.

How miserable are those who do not listen to God! When they do what they desire – many times something condemned by Scriptures –, these people prove that they do not love Him. Now, we have been called to live the divine plan, and not our own. He who does not listen to the voice of the Word cannot be part of the Lord’s eternal plan, for he does not know how to fulfill the divine will and in turn, obeys the enemy.

If the members of the Body of Christ understood that acting by their own thoughts meant not being guided by the Lord, they would do nothing without the certainty that they had God’s approval. This is not only a care that the saved ones should have, but it is the essence of the attitude of service.  The Most High does not share His glory, and this is also for those who call themselves His servants. When we fulfill what we were ordered, we must confess that we are useless servants.

The aim of our lives must be to be guided by the Lord, for it brings many blessings. Now, to do what we think is right is serious, for we will not be acting by ourselves, but we will be governed by the enemy, and it will take away our peace. He who insists that he can serve God as he wishes will discover later that his stubbornness separated him from good things. Do not judge yourself by what happened to you or to your relatives, but by what the Father says.

It does not matter how much you seek to consecrate yourself in order to do what you consider as the Lord’s purpose in your life. When you attend your own desires – which in fact come from the evil one (and this is proved when it is against a Biblical declaration) –, you open the door to the devil. Therefore, analyze your attitudes in the past, which were contrary to what the Word of God spoke to your heart, and come back running to obey Him.

Stay away from those who use their lips to bless, but when provoked, they curse others and say things that God does not approve. This kind of person is not prepared to fulfill the divine plan. He who has a deceitful tongue will fall in sin, and therefore, will not be authorized to execute the work, though it may be his priority.

Whoever does not observe the rights that the Lord brought in our favor cannot serve God, and therefore, is not in proper conditions to be a minister of the New Testament.

In Christ, with love,

God, Master, and Lord! You know us well, and there is nothing in us that is not naked and open before Your eyes. For some, the time to serve You may come in a while, when Your Spirit completes their preparation. Help us to understand this!

Drive away all perversity from the hearts of those who wish to serve You. Thus, they will find good and do good things. How will someone be Your servant if he still has evil impulses? The mouth that loves You cannot curse those who wronged him. Bless and share this bread, oh Father!

May this candidate to be a servant understand the importance of fighting the good fight without giving himself to evil. It is sad seeing so many people walking towards perdition. May this person’s tongue never be deceitful, but only a servant of Your righteousness. Thank You!
