Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face evermore!  Psalm 105.4

The Lord God instructs us to seek three things: him, his strength and his face. If we do not do that, we will drift away from him. We will go back to living according to the flesh, filthy desires will take over our minds, and demons will attack us. Those who do not watch and pray will surely fall into temptation and face hardship. Too many people are undergoing painful treatments.

We can find the Lord in the Scriptures, and when this happens, our spirit immediately becomes joyful and stronger; we become ready for battle. Without God’s presence, we are as weak as any person who has not experienced salvation. If you claim to be saved but you are constantly stumbling and falling into sin, seek the Most High before it is too late.

If a Christian does not follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance, he will never experience the freedom that was prepared for those who are saved. Then your life will be sad, because all kinds of trouble will torment you. Many people are never delivered from medical treatments, for example, or never have enough money to pay their bills, remodel their homes, nor help others who are in need.

But those who have God’s power moving in their lives are constantly growing in faith, because they have a worry-free life; it is as if they live in a different world. They have power to prevent old vices from coming back and, if a disease strikes them, they cast it away in the name of Jesus. If any troubles come up in their marriage, by their faith they set things straight. These people are never in a bad mood or dismayed.

Those who are wise are always seeking the face of the Lord, because for them there is nothing better than understanding the Word of God, and as soon as it is revealed to them, they take possession of what has been told them as God’s doctrine without turning to the right or to the left. For those who walk in accordance with the Scriptures, no threat of the enemy is taken into account, since they know how to glory in the name of Jesus.

He who looks at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12.2), always receives guidance from God. He does not worry about what other people say, he does not pay attention to negative speeches nor scary forecasts from those who are sent by hell. Because Christ’s light shines on his path, he will never trip nor make a decision that is not good. God’s command to us is that we seek his face evermore.

Brethren, strive to always seek these three things: the Lord, his strength and his face. If you do that, you will no longer allow the enemy to do whatever he wants in your life. You will be like a soldier who is prepared for any good mission. God wants to see you able to face the evil one and defeat him.

In Christ, with love,

Eternal God and beloved Father, the mission you have given us through this verse is not difficult to fulfill. To seek you is one of the most pleasurable things we can do, and when we find you we also find life, so we live better.

As for seeking your strength, we need your help to understand the steps that we need to take. With your power working within us and for us, no forces of evil will be able to hold us back from succeeding in our good works or to keep us in captivity.

Lord, with regard to seeking your face, that is exactly what we want to do. There is not a more beautiful picture than the revelation of your blessed Word. With that, we will be able to face the empire of the devil and overcome him in all his attempts to strike us.
