And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover. Exodus 12:11

To observe the details specified by the Lord is a sign of obedience, submission, wisdom and respect. Since He is perfect, He would never tell us something that was not the truth and the best for our life. The Passover of the Lord should be the last thing we would do before we go out in obedience before the Most High. Just like the Israelites, we should participate in it dressed and prepared to place out feet on the way.

This shows how serious the acts of God are. We must never go into action, without the basic, but necessary, preparation. If we are to pray for a blessing, we have to do it with faith and determination, expecting the outcome promised in the Word. Then, after we cry out, we must believe we were answered. Now, during prayer, we call upon the only Lord of the Universe, therefore, we have to consider the work already accomplished from the very start.

We need to be with a belt on our waist, like someone who is going out on a long journey. The Apostle Peter instructs us, after we have dressed the loins of our understanding that we are to be sober and wait entirely for the grace offered to us in the revelation of Jesus. Those who do this, enter into battle with all the ability to win the fight. Before you pray, cover yourself with the power and anointing. Only those who are well prepared will come out victorious!

The feet needed to be worn in order to eat the Passover of the Lord. Paul said that it is our duty that our feet be worn with the preparation that comes from the Gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15). This means to build on the experiences of our brothers from biblical times, when the revelation was being uncovered. The trials they went through, the pains they felt and the lessons learned should serve as training for our determinations.

The staff was intended for protection, in order to resist some wild animal that came along the way. They had to have it in their hands when they ate the Passover. This teaches us to never go out to do anything without the staff of power – the Word revealed. Even though we are fed at the Lord´s table, the enemy can arise with his threats and, then, armed with this defensive weapon, we will be able to rebuke and defeat him.

Being clothed to leave captivity, we must eat the spiritual nourishment in haste, so that it may quickly enter into our spirit and generate the necessary strength. Those who take long to take hold of what God gives them may be surprised at how quick the enemy tempts them. Some people, because they are slow in this matter, they are contaminated by the hellish poison, although they are at the table of the Most High.

The Passover of the Omnipotent is not something rational, in which the mind has to calculate in order to understand. It is real and ultimate nourishment provided to us prior to our departure from an illness or temptation.  Our departure has to be towards victory. Halleluiah!

In Christ, with love,

Lamb of God! Thank You for teaching us to do Your work, because otherwise, we will not please You. We want to eat the bread of the Communion, the body of Christ. Wounds were made in Him, by which we were healed of the infirmities.

In the blood of Christ, we were forgiven and washed of all filthiness. Now, we are free from the evil captivity. Just as the blood on the doorposts protected the Hebrew people from destruction, it will deliver our soul from the destroyer.

We must be with a belt on our waist, sandals on our feet, our staff in our hand and our spirit must be ready to eat the meat of the Lamb quickly. Thus, we will do Your Passover, the work of deliverance of many people bound to the devil´s captivity. Amen!
