19/10/2014 - THOSE WHO DEPART FROM THE WAY

Then the Lord said to me, ‘Arise, go down quickly from here, for your people whom you brought out of Egypt have acted corruptly; they have quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a molded image.’ Deuteronomy 9.12

Moses had one of the most incredible experiences with God at Mount Horeb. He stayed there for 40 days and 40 nights, without eating bread or water. Certainly, it was the Most High who sustained him to make such a consecration. Today, no one should try to imitate the leader of the Hebrews in this aspect. Observe: it was not his decision to fast. The Lord ordered him to go up the mount and then helped him accordingly.

We do not know how long he would have stayed in that place. With the Most High’s orientation, the servant of the Almighty had to interrupt his time with the divine presence and go down quickly, for the people were acting corruptly. But why did the Israelites act in such a way, if they had seen how much God performed in their favor? The truth is that the devil always tempts the holy people with the most indecent proposals, and sadly, many accept them.

I have seen similar facts in my ministry. Several times, I have been used by the Eternal to help a multitude of people to leave sin and witchcraft. They suffered horrible things in the hands of demons. However, after they became clean, ready to achieve more in God and enjoy everything that is written in Scriptures, many of them let themselves be led by the flesh, and incredibly, drew others with them towards mistake.

Have they not read in Luke 17 that those who fall and make others fall will suffer terribly for all eternity? We have the obligation to watch and pray so that corruption does not come over us and separate us from the Savior. The enemy is gathering strength to take us away from the arms of the Omnipotent. But if we are sober and watchful, he will never be able to accomplish his will (1 Pe 5.8).

As our Creator and Redeemer, He has the right to tell us what path we should follow. He does not do it to deprive us from something, but to free us from sufferings, mainly from those that will last for all eternity. If you are someone who is being led by temptations, repent and come back running to the Lord’s arms, for there is still time (Is 55.6).

Those who remain in sin do not think what will happen to them when Christ returns. When that happens, the angels will gather all humanity in two groups (Mt 25.31-46). Those who stay at the left of the Master will be ordered to march towards the eternal fire. Many there will cry out to the Lord, saying that there was a mistake in the place where they were put. They will claim that they expelled demons, healed the sick, and still prophesied in the Name of Jesus (Mt 7.22).

The only answer that they will hear from the Lord is that He never knew them, since they practiced iniquity (v. 23). Thus, before this happens to you, repent from all your sins and serve God in a holy way.

In Christ, with love,

Merciful God! I want to make a special request today. With a broken heart, I cry out to all of those who have not lived according to Your will, and thus, are marked to be placed at Your left.

There is a great number of those who depart from the way, and then, when the time comes for Jesus to return, if they do not repent and leave sin, they will walk towards eternal damnation. What is worse is that maybe they are not even realizing it.

The people of Moses walked astray. The Hebrews created a golden calf as if it had freed them from Egypt. They hurt Your heart! If it were not for the intercession of Moses, You would have not spared one of them. Accept my prayer and save those who have departed from Your ways. Thank you, Lord!
