18/01/2015 - THREE RIGHT DECISIONS

And he walked in all the ways of his father Asa. He did not turn aside from them, doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord.  1 Kings 22.43

Asa was a king that knew how to enjoy the protection of the Most High and follow the good example left by his father. Likewise, we must imitate those who were used by the Lord to help us enter in the Kingdom of Heaven. However, if after some time they should fall astray, we must not be influenced by their bad example. It is important to know that from the moment that we understand the Word, we become responsible to maintain our own walk in faithful ness and obedience to the heavenly Father.

There are many, however, who do not fear the Lord as they should. These are a danger for the saved ones, for they declare themselves saved, but act wrongly, and can lead the weak in the faith to be scandalized. Then, after some time, since God does not bring their salary by the end of the week or the month, these people think that the biblical warnings are not so serious, so they also let themselves by led by the temptations.

Since Asa walked in the way of his father, he obtained success. Today, those who are led by sin will discover, after much suffering, that they took the wrong decision, for they excluded themselves from the protection of the Most High. This is everything that the demon wants you to do, for after all, he will be able to invest against your life and destroy you completely (1 Pe 5.8). Never attend to any request from the evil one.

Undoubtedly, king Asa faced temptations, but he did not walk astray from the good and holy ways. All who want to live piously will suffer attacks from the enemy, but they should not worry, for God is faithful and will not let them be tempted beyond their strength (1 Co 10.13). If today, a king faces great temptations, imagine in those days, when he acted as if he were the owner of his nation! There are no excuses for he who falls.

At last, the sacred writer affirmed that Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. May this be written about everyone who serves God, for if the opposite is registered, he who was led by temptations will suffer forever. But why should you give yourself to the spirit of madness which will lead you to the eternal suffering? Today, make the right and noblest decision, in order to be blessed and live besides the Most High, according to His will.

What is right to the Lord is what He determined as a pattern of conduct for His children? If we observe Jesus’ orientation, we should do for people what we would like those people do to us (Mk 12.31). This is the way how we do not stumble in any obstacle that the devil puts before us. The Most High will give us victory in all matters, so that is why we should always act according to His Word. Know this: the Father will never stop assisting us.

Reign in life for Jesus Christ. However, be careful so you don’t think you are strong enough, like Samson, and thus, fall in the hands of ruthless enemies. Those who maintain themselves inside the limits established by the Lord will stand at the right of the Master, and after His invitation, will enter with all the saved in the eternal Glory.

In Christ, with love,

Lord! How good it is when we know Your direction and follow it. Then, nothing can go wrong for us. Asa’s father left a good example, and his son followed it. Jesus gave us the best and greatest example; thus, we must do everything for our work to be firm.

We cannot walk away from the proposal that is presented to us. This is the best way of acting correctly. If we follow the “map”, we will not stumble on the obstacles and will even lead our brethren to live in the right manner. Your light illuminates our way.

The secret is to do what is right in Your eyes. Since our vision does not contemplate what is in the spiritual world, we cannot see as You see. We need Your Word which is a light to our path and a lamp to our feet. With it, we will manage to have complete success.
