11/12/2017 - TWO OTHER IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES

If you were pure and upright, surely now He would awake for you, and prosper your rightful dwelling place. Job 8.6

In this message, we will see two principles that lead those who have deviated to return do the Lord. There is nothing sadder then someone who has already drank from the water served by Jesus and is now in a spiritual desert. In this phase, the Christian feels like they are the worst person, because they don’t see God’s works in their lives. When they are attacked by something evil, they are unable to react to the enemy’s destruction in their families.

David lived before the Calvary, thus, he wasn’t able to enjoy the favors of divine grace, because it wasn’t available yet.  He was a phenomenal warrior, leading Israel to defeat their enemies. However, because of a foolish act, he was led by temptation when he saw a woman bathing and sinned with her. As a consequence, the sword came into his family (2 Sam 12.10). This sin made David suffer terrible consequences, including with his children.

If this happened today, he would have had the opportunity to confess his sin and be free from its consequences. This should never serve as an excuse for anyone to sin, because, just like it happened to him, if there is not a true repentance, the enemy will be free to work in this person and in their family too. I doesn’t matter what period of time, iniquity always separates us from the Lord and opens doors for the enemy to attack us. However, if we confess our sins, we are forgiven.

Bildad told Job that, if he was pure and upright, the Most High would awaken for him and restore his rightful dwelling place. He had to be pure, and that meant that he should not use his own words or anyone else’s to be free from evil. The curse in Job had a purpose and if he trusted in the Lord and not in human concepts, he would see the Lord act. This still works today!

Besides being pure, Job had to be upright. In other words, he always had to be looking up to the Omnipotent. We should do the same in order to win. Our goal should always be what the Word of God reveals to us. It doesn’t matter how long it will take to get us there. We will reach the place where our Heavenly Father appointed us to when we obey Him and fight with the strength He gave us.

Seek the Lord at night, prepare yourself for the evil that’s coming and ask for mercy, in order to comprehend the divine plan. By being pure and upright, you will see the Almighty awaken for you. The disciples took Jesus as He was and tried to take Him to the other side, but the storm almost destroyed them (Lk 8:23); so, they woke up the Master. Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was great relief, but soon after, He asked them where their faith was.

The faith that is transmitted, by God when we listen to His Words, gives us the power to rebuke any threat. If they hadn’t woken Jesus up, they would have perished. If your rightful dwelling place is not restored, you will not overcome the temptation that comes to destroy you. Use these principles, and the two from the previous lesson, and be victorious.
