13/02/2014 - TWO UNHAPPY DECISIONS

Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His word. Psalm 106:24

The sons of Israel were in great danger when they believed the false report given by the spies that went to assess the land that flowed milk and honey. Our lesson is that we should be careful with what people say, for if they are not with the divine presence, they will see things as the enemy shows them. Only those who are in the Lord can bring good news.

It is very important to be careful with what you truly believe. It is worthless confessing that Jesus is Lord, and at the same time, not giving him credit for what he says. Whatever goes on in your heart, when you read the Bible or listen to the Word that is preached, is what you believe. Those who do not believe in God stay away from His works. Only those who have faith in the Lord can see His glory.

Never despise the land that was given to you. The demon will try everything to take you away from the place where the Lord has sent you. Sometimes, trials may be your greatest blessing, for without the lessons of the Holy Spirit, you will not be ready to assume your mission. Now, the Most High would never tell you something if it were not useful in your walk to the heavenly podium.

In everything you do, believe in what the Omniscient declares, for in His revelation is the power to keep your life, give you a future and bring to you the promises made to Abraham. Besides, without divine revelation, we are like blind people. Those who dedicate themselves to teach the ways of God need to seek in the Father what to tell to their disciples.

The flesh is crafty and only lets you see what the natural man perceives. But you are different; after all you have the divine anointing upon you. Don’t let the devil lead you to take the decision that your heart has planned, or else it will be fatal. The enemy’s will is that you never grow before the Lord. He will do everything in his might to make you deny the mission that God has given you, so that he may harm your life.

If the Israelites had given credit to the Lord, they would not have walked for 40 years in the desert. Everything they went through after the false report from the spies was unnecessary. If they would have believed in the Most High, they would have entered the Promised Land and assumed what belonged to them by right. May you not be one of those people that “swim hard, but die in the beach”.

So that this does not happen, consider now if you have acted like the Israelites by taking these two unhappy decisions: to despise the pleasant land, and not to believe in the divine Word. It is not wrong to repent; on the contrary, it is honest and rewarding to seek the Lord’s forgiveness.

In Christ, with love,
