I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. Psalm 119:100

Everyone who was born again by having accepted Jesus as their Savior must know that it is essential to obey, with prudence, His divine will. Wherever Saul sent him King David obeyed. We can’t forget that we have an enemy that surrounds us, prowling and roaring like a lion, seeking anyone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).  Satan seeks to make our mission ineffective in order to stop God’s work. 

If we act properly, more missions will be given. The Masters field has great need of people who fear the Most High, who disregard anything else and obey what they are commanded to do. The good and faithful servant who has done well will enter into Celestial rest. The saved are placed as warriors and will be accepted in the sight of the children of God. We have only the present to execute, with care, the task that the Father has placed on our shoulders.

Those who are in the service of the Lord have an important mark over their decisions: fearlessness. As soon as Hezekiah assumed the Kingdom of Judah, he showed himself to be prudent in his actions.  Feeling he should break with the king of Assyria, who had destroyed Israel – the northern kingdom -, Hezekiah no longer obeyed that monarch.  It is probable, that in some way, in many who are born again, the kingdom of darkness still has some hold.  However, they can only serve the Lord. 

It is evident that Assyria would not leave it at that, but they would be doomed if they rose against anyone who know and obeyed the Almighty. God does not accept that we serve Him and Mammon, or any other god (Luke 16:13). If you have split your loyalty between the Lord and anything or anyone else, it is now time you put an end to this. Any submission to the devil and his demons will withdraw you from the only true God.

The elders who served the Almighty in their days were wise and prudent. This however does not mean that we cannot be better than they were. The Omnipotent expects exactly this from us.  It is said and heard everywhere that with the increase of the passions for the flesh, it is almost impossible to live in a sanctified way.  However, the children of God today have a greater power at their disposal to execute the divine work with sincerity and sanctity.

David told Solomon that the Omnipresent would be with him and he would prosper and build the house of the Lord, just like God had said. Do everything that the Almighty has told you through the Word.  Don’t look at the difficulties, but with faith and determination, fulfill what has been said of you. Then at the open and shut of the eyes, you will see how much He loved you, calling you to be part of His people and to do His will. Amen?

God is with you! Cover yourself with prudence, so that the enemy does not distract you from the path which was proposed.  If you fell into some trap, turn and confess your sin, to obtain forgiveness and to continue to be of use to Him who is holy. Keep the precepts, and God will make you even more prudent than your master. That He may be with you!
