And he allied himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish, and they made the ships in Ezion Geber. 2 Chronicles 20:36

The commercial past between Jehoshaphat and Ahaziah seemed interesting enough because ship building in those days was a highly lucrative business; however, Jehoshaphat was a man of God and should have prayed and sought divine direction. Since a majority of the members of the Body of Christ has not yet matured, the wicked, with their deceiving proposals, have held the advantage over them, who don’t even remember or consider the Lord.

Truly, often times, even we forget to pray to seek directions concerning certain supposed advantages and consequently when the problems arise, we see ourselves tied by the snares of the devil. Why doesn’t God’s friend Abraham talk to Him concerning his options, choices and decisions, since these were God’s instructions (Genesis 18:17-19)? If someone believes that it is unnecessary to consult the Lord about something, surely that something must not be any good. In many cases it is certainly better to say no than to suffer eternal suffering.

Beware of the empire of evil; the demon who tempts you is not a frail spirit which suggests meaningless ideas, but a fiendish being enabled by Satan to distract and draw you away from the company of the Lord. The orders from Hell are to produce all confusion and deceit and evil to separate the children of God from their Father. Great mishaps have come to those who felt self- sufficient, disregarding any thought, help or counsel from the Most High.

When a demon defeats someone who is saved, the door remains open for even worse spirits to help destroy this life and if possible, even the family. Don’t let the enemy fool you; if when you pray, you do so in the Name of Jesus Christ, the solution will come. Lay hold of your rights in Christ so as not to be fooled by the evil one. God promises to answer to those that pray to Him, revealing great things not yet known. Cry out and live!

Do not be attracted by the lies from hell, because if you do, later on when you open your eyes, you will learn the damage and hurt that was caused. Not even an inheritance received quickly will do any good. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you and then you will have the proper attitude. Never desire anything from the enemy, no matter how attractive, good or enticing it may seem. The true servants of the Almighty always respect His decisions.

Ahaz was famous for continuing the evil practiced by his father and mother.- Ahab and Jezebel – for this reason Jehoshaphat could never had had a meal with him. Nevertheless, the King of Judah, a servant of God, not only married the house of Ahab which was his great error, but, with the intent of building ships, he associated with Ahaziah, son of Ahab, who was extremely cruel. Why would Jehoshaphat seek riches with the wrong source?

Who does not watch out or pray lives a life of oppression and only later on perceives that the decision was not good. It is essential to always pray so that the Most High directs you in your actions and you never take a step that is unacceptable to God. The Word should be your rule and practice in all matters.

In Christ, with Love,

Oh God! How sad to see how irresponsible Jehoshaphat was, even having the faith he had in his heart, uniting with Ahab first, then later on with his son. His rebellion against Your Word gave him a tremendous loss, in view that the ships that he built were all broken to bits in the storm.

We can’t allow the seeds planted in our heart to become unproductive. We have to learn the lessons so as not to answer on Judgment Day and suffer condemnation.

Why ally yourself with someone who does not love You? The only thing we should do with the wicked is warn him of his accountability to God on Judgment day. We want to obey You always. Amen!
