…whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our affairs, and that he may comfort your hearts. Ephesians 6:22

Every Christian needs to develop the gifts they have received from God. For this to happen, they must pray asking for direction, for they cannot do anything without Him. On the other hand, when we ask for His help, we have the assurance that we will be assisted, and this will be done so that the Father may be glorified. So, pay attention to all that He commands you and put yourself out on the field; most definitely, He will help you accomplish such work.

Nothing is achieved without faith, which is given to us by hearing the Lord. With it, we can believe that we already have enough to accomplish the will of God. Therefore, you must always meditate on what you felt when you gave ear to the Word of God; thus, in the blink of an eye, revelation will be given to you. Those who believe in the Most High will never be disappointed, because He always fulfills His promises.

The Lord does not want His people to live in starvation, helpless and powerless to fight, nor suffer the snares of Satan. Therefore, He has given us the power to comfort us mutually. The saved ones who the authority to deliver the oppressed, heal the sick and bring solution to the problems that affect people, especially those that don’t know how to deliver themselves from temptations.

Paul was an ambassador of Christ in prison, and so that the brethren knew what he was doing even while imprisoned, he sent Tychicus, a faithful minister and companion. The apostle always used the time and place he was to show that those who are of God must not subject themselves to the lies of the evil one, and even if they are facing deceivers,  they must make their faith in Christ prevail (Acts 13:8-10).

When they found out how Paul was, those brethren would have their hearts comforted by the account of that minister. People have to know how those who overcome by the faith in Jesus live, so that when they are going through some pressure or evil threat, they too will rise up and make the Name of the Lord be glorified by their actions. It is sad to see Christians enslaved by fear, filled with uncertainties and weak in their faith.

Everyone must be prepared to comfort the weak hearts, helping them to go through struggles and receive divine mercies. After all, that which was necessary to lead the people of God to victory has already been accomplished. Now, if we show how the conquerors of the Lord live, we will help many to become successful children of God, who will make the Father very happy.

The Christian who does not seek power to overcome temptations and who does not respect the will of God is of no use to Him. Now, Jesus completed the vicarious work, so that His people would be victorious. But, if some are not winning the battles of life, it is because they have not taken hold of what belongs to them in Christ.

In Christ with love,

God of comforts! Paul´s struggle to make the Gospel known made him an example to his generation. People were impressed with his fearlessness before the persecutions and other problems.

The apostle faced everything with love, resignation and with trust that You would not leave him alone. In order for the brethren to get to know of his faith, he sent Tychicus with the mission of telling them what was happening to him, for he wanted the Ephesians to be comforted.

This minister was a friend and companion of the apostle, and because of that he could tell them about the apostle’s life. If the man of God could ask others to tell people how they lived, what they speak and do, this would comfort many people and it would lead them to imitate them. Amen!
